Beware- although the rooms are nice, the hotel does have a very popular nightclub on the 15th floor. We stayed on the 12th floor and the noise every night was so loud and shaking till at least 1:30am. We called the front desk and they said they can’t do anything but give us earplugs. This is a nightclub first, then a hotel. Area is a bit sketchy too. Just know this before you think about booking
This is a club masquerading as a hotel. Late into the night the noise in our room was so loud we went to the front desk to get a new room. We were joined there by several other guests making the same request. The staff was curt, the rooms were rough, and the service minimal. We love NYC and New Yorkers, but won't be staying here again.
Loistava sijainti työmatkani kohteelle.
Välillä oli ruuhkaa ja meteliä FIFA Cupin vuoksi.
Location and view
Staff very attentive and responsive. Nice bathrooms. Clean. Beds and pillows very comfortable and clean and sheets nice white cotton. Makes a difference! Also happy there was not carpet in room which is gross. Hallways did have carpet. Accommodated my request for quiet room level. Let me check in 2 hours early! Checked on me throughout stay via text which is really nice. I did not use the gym or explore hotel amenities due to short stay.
Surprised unable to order cab to Penn Station via front desk. Only allowed to order cab to Airport.
Parking next door
bad location full of graffiti and trash. Night Club in same building was too loud till 3AM. Decor was not pretty.
The rooftop, bar, and club.
The bathroom sink has very little space.
Very modern, fun, clean
Honestly nothing comes to mind
Great location in the Historic Lower East Side neighborhood.
From my perspective, a great base of operations if you want to be a visitor - and not a Tourist. Wander the incredible LES neighborhoods, easily walk up to the Village, Soho, Chinatown or the Financial District - or jump on the subway and go anywhere else in the city with ease.
The hotel itself is City Chic with art everywhere and clean, compact rooms. Head up to the restaurant and get great panoramic views of the LES - and apparently at night it turns into a hot spot (if that's your thing.
I like IHG branded hotels - though it's usually an Intercontinental I'm staying at - but Indigo is a great boutique-vibe alternative - either the same great IHG service I am used to.
If touristy things are your thing, Katz's is 1/2 a block away - but try one of New York's many non-tourist eateries (Russ & Daughters is close as well)
Hotel Indigo, Ludlow St. NY.
Terrible hotel, they have a night club on the 15th floor and the music/bass is so loud that your bed actually shakes. This goes on until 4am and it’s impossible to get to sleep.
They also charge an unexpected ‘amenities’ charge of $40 a day, which is for absolutely nothing, just a hidden extra and a way of getting more money out of you. We booked this hotel in order to use the rooftop swimming pool and on arrival we were told it’s shut for repairs!
When we complained they basically just said ‘“tough luck”.
The whole place is tacky and old fashioned and the air con is either freezing or hot, there’s no In between. The staff are not particularly helpful and although we did eventually get one of our rooms amenities charge wiped off (should have been both) and got transferred to a slightly quieter room , they seemed to do this very begrudgingly.
I strongly recommend that you steer clear of this hotel, there is not one good thing I can say about, it is truly awful.
רמת ניקיון ותחזוקה ירודים
I was in New York celebrating my 10-year wedding anniversary, which is the reason I remained happy and positive throughout most of the trip. The city itself, the occasion, and the time spent with my husband made the week special. As for the hotel, the location was convenient and some staff members were courteous, but unfortunately the property itself did not contribute positively to what should have been a memorable stay.
the main issue was excessive rooftop noise and bass vibrations that repeatedly interfered with sleep. I was relocated from Room 1809 to Room 0704, but the disturbance remained present even after the room change. Additional concerns included an unavailable pool, fitness center limitations, air conditioning issues, excessive elevator wait times, and a breakfast offering that did not meet expectations for a stay costing more than $3,200. Overall, the experience did not reflect the quality, comfort, or value advertised by the property.
The bed and pillows were great! Important for us. Our view was great but a bit nosy because we were over the bar.
