An enjoyable stay at a quiet spot.
Pros:

The room was excellent and the two regular staff at breakfast were very helpful.

Cons:

Not the properties fault but quite far out.

Firefly is set in a haven of nature and peace - true Bequia vibe.
Pros:

The firefly is in a lovely peaceful location . The rooms are spacious and thoughtfully furnished and equipped . Although a little way out from Port Elizabeth the taxis are cheap to get around Bequia. Sheena the Manager is friendly and very attentive and makes sure that you have everything you need . She really is a gem and her young staff team always try their best .

Cons:

The lighting around the property and especially to the rooms is very poor and more lights are needed especially by the steep steps and on the pathways.

Pros:

The room was excellent! Spacious and well designed. The bed was super comfy! It's nice and quiet, very peaceful. Perfect for a relaxing getaway.

Cons:

The hot water wasn't hot enough, the AC felt a bit warm and the remote didn't work well - I had to go really close to turn the AC on and off. One of the lights by the shower was blinking a lot. There should have been a hotel shuttle or something from town as the transportation options here are limited and overpriced.

Beautiful views with outstanding accommodation but what really made our stay were the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Eddy managing front of house, Ezra looking after the gardens and Leslie Ann, chef extraordinaire. We loved every thing about our stay and enjoyed every moment. Thankyou

Our stay at Firefly was AMAZING! Our room has impeccably kept and clean. We had an amazing view of the valley and ocean from our balcony. I would recommend this place to stay over and over again! Dinner was always delicious and the staff was so friendly. The only draw back is that you need to take a taxi to the other side of the island (only about 10 minutes, about $10-15USD depending on which beach) to go to any of the beaches, but not a reason to not stay at this amazing resort. The tour of the grounds was so fun and we got to try some many types of fruits! 10/10 stars!!!!

Highly recommend! Firefly Estate Bequia is such a calming and magical place. The grounds are clean, well maintained and surrounded by beautiful trees. The room was spotless, large, and had a welcoming aroma. We were definitely impressed by the room fixtures. We can tell that special care goes into cleaning and maintaining the rooms and property. The balcony is also considerably spacious with exceptional views. We were assisted by staff member Judith, who greeted us on late arrival and was extremely accommodating. Will definitely return.

The Firefly estate has amazing staff, Melissa, LesleyAnn and Ezra made my stay at the firefly incredible, they are friendly, approachable, helpful and super efficient. LesleyANn cooking is amazing and I highly recommend the Chicken curry with roti.
The hotel is beautiful surrounded nature, tranquil and peaceful. I stayed in two different room I prefer the upper floor but both rooms was beautiful, spacious, extremely comfortable beds, private terrace and all amenities to make for s fantastic stay. I highly recommend Firefly Estate and my stay was perfect and I will return

Old style Caribbean charm
Pros:

Firefly is set in a old plantation and has a wealth of charm. The grounds are gorgeous, well kept and Esra will walk you through the whole thing pointing put the various trees, plants and herbs. The accommodation of just 4 suites is really something. Double showers plus an outside shower, huge bed, dressing room with tea/coffee bits and bobs plus cloakroom with 2 sinks. Great views from the huge balcony/terrace and all immaculately kept.
The pool area is also great, decent size with double raised couch/lounging things at each end. We crashed out and read books here. The restaurant has great food, with a limited menu, but beautifully cooked and presented. We ate here 6 times in our 10 night stay. Breakfast is also included. Bar is great for pre and post dinner drinks.

Cons:

However, like anywhere it’s not for everyone. For us, we liked the 20 min walk into port elizabeth for the many bars and restaurants. Some may prefer that on the doorstep. If you prefer to wave a wee flag to have your cocktail delivered, then maybe this isn’t for you.
