I extended my stay as I was happy with the people who run the facility

The aircon didn't work, just blows warm air. It is cooler outside then inside and it needs to be fixed ROOM 202

Friendly staff and convenient location. It has potential, but desperately needs updating.
Pros:

Check in was fast and easy, friendly staff, nice hot shower with great water pressure. Close enough to Olympic Park to be convenient but far enough away that you aren't paying the premium location surcharge that all the hotels in Olympic Park charge for being able to walk to the venue.

Cons:

Although the room was clean, there was a very strong smell of cigarette smoke every time I opened the door and the 1970's air conditioner was very noisy (although it did keep the room cool) and had no control other than off or on. The toiler/shower cubicle would be more suited to a caravan or small boat where space is a luxury.

You absolutely get what you pay for
Pros:

Personally not my style of hotel, (and yes my husband argued it’s just for one night). I’d prefer to pay more $ to feel I’m staying in a cleaner environment that has a reasonable amount of space so that you don’t feel claustrophobic

Cons:

The shower/toilet facilities in room are like portaloos. These need updating or replacing, showering is a very claustrophobic experience.
