Was put in a smaller room than paid for due to overbooking...left to resolve with 3rd party with no assistance or compensation from Hilton staff
The staff at this hotel are incredible. So friendly and helpful. The pool was open but not heated. We were told the heater was not working. The hotel is extremely clean and comfortable.
The pool was cold because the heater needs to be fixed. My daughter loved it no matter what temperature but it was too bad.
Good location
Night front desk attendant was disrespectful, confrontational and belligerent. We return to the room after a day of activities on Saturday, June 13, and our room had not been clean as promised. Plus we were out of toilet paper. I have pictures. The front desk attendant said there was nothing he could do about it and there was no manager on duty and hung up on me. When I was on the phone with him. We went downstairs to acquire toilet paper and discovered three housekeepers were still working the building. He said he could not leave the desk yet. He left the desk while we were downstairs. His attitude was atrocious. I understand that issues arise but how they are dealt with is important. As I said, he was extremely disrespectful, confrontational and belligerent. The physical facility was adequate but by no means up to what I consider Hilton standards.
I booked it online and specifically made sure that a hot tub/jacuzzi were on the property. I confirmed this and when we got to the hotel, there was no jacuzzi!
No jacuzzi (even when I asked specifically of there was one). Bed was horribly uncomfortable.

I loved how friendly the staff were and the cleanliness. The location was also perfect because of where we were headed the next day.
I didn't understand why there was a season for the indoor pool. It's the end of April in Virginia, which is pool weather regardless, but the fact is it's an indoor pool...that wasn't open for "the season" and to open again at the end of May. There was nothing about the pool not being open during my reservation or I wouldn't have stayed here.
I also did not have towels in my bathroom. So, after my shower at 6a, I didn't have towels to dry off. I called down to the office and housekeeping but no one answered. I let someone know after the fact, but it was very inconvenient.
I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Roanoke while visiting my godson at Virginia Tech, and I’m so glad I chose Roanoke over Blacksburg. Being closer to the airport made my trip easier, but what really made the stay memorable was the hotel itself.
The property sits at the top of a hill, and the views are absolutely beautiful. Before I even started my day, I was already impressed just stepping outside and taking it all in. The hotel was extremely busy during my stay, completely packed, but as a Diamond member, I appreciated the dedicated parking, which made a big difference. Even with the crowd, the service never felt rushed or impersonal. I want to give a special shoutout to Chloe at the front desk. Despite how busy things were, she made me feel like I was the only guest checking in. She warmly acknowledged my Hilton status, explained my benefits, and genuinely took the time to make me feel welcomed. That level of customer service is what stands out to me the most. It always wins me over, and in this case, it exceeded my expectations. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. As someone who appreciates extra towels, I was happy to find plenty available. The view from my room was also fantastic. I could see out across the city as far as the eye could go. This stay was a great experience, and it’s another reminder that excellent customer service makes all the difference. I will be staying here again throughout the football season for the Hookies games.

Great location. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My only disappointment was that there was no complimentary breakfast. I guess I overlooked that when I booked the room. I didn't pay the $13 or $14 for the breakfast buffet, so I can't comment on the quality of the food, but from what I saw it didn't look much different than what you get for free at most other hotels.
Nice hotel in a convenient location for Roanoke and the surrounding areas with a good restaurant/breakfast area although for an additional charge.
Unfortunately the television service was out and apparently had been for a week. Obviously it was not the property’s fault, but I wish they would have informed us during check in as we were frustrated trying to use it unsuccessfully. We also were charged for the stay at the property although we had pre-paid through our booking service, so charged twice requiring a refund after communicating with the property, which they promptly did.
