Popular Residence Hotel

The hotel was closed for business yet their website remained active as if business is still open. Misleading add!

William our host was the best and we were made to feel welcome straight away. All the staff were lovely and notbing was a bother. We were upgraded for our last 2 nights which was a lovely gesture. This hotel is about a 30 minute iwalk into town which is ok eventhough there are plenty of tuk tuks near the hotel. After 5pm this hotel offers free tuk tuk into town. We would definitely stay here again

Staff is great and very, very helpful.
Room is spacious and very comfortable.
Restaurant is very good, prices are fair but we found a too short list menu.
The location is not close for a city walk/dinner/ any kind of actions and you have to take a tuktuk to go at night market or to any mart if you need things. But tuktuks are cheap (2$) so we do not complain as the hotel is quiet.
Popular Residence is a good choice in Siem Reap.

The staff are lovely at this hotel, however it is very basic and in need of refurbishment. Also tuktuk drivers may not know where this hotel is so you need to clarify with them. My booking was to include airport tuktuk on arrival and departure but they only provided on arrival. Also no welcome/departure gift. We didn't use the spa services as they actually dont have a spa onsite as such, they either send you to there recommended spa locally or they can come out to the hotel but you need to give them an 1hrs notice. Breakfast was very basic. They have alot of staff standing around not doing much and as english is there second language it can take awhile to be understood. Overall I wouldn't stay here again, there are so many places to stay in Siem Reap.

Couldn’t be better!

This is close to where we live in a local village. A treat to retreat with the friendly and professional staff there. The sitting area near the pool is good to while away some hours with a good book. Breakfast and restaurant menu for other meals for freshly cooked and prepared and tasted really good can recommend. They looked after us as if we were the only customers but they did have other customers as well.

The best thing about this place are the staff who make your stay very enjoyable and hospitable. The hotel has beautiful gardens and at night it is a pleasure to hear birds and animals and not traffic noise. The location is also very good and we were able to walk into town easily - it takes about 30 minutes to the Old Market and busy city life. The breakfast is ok- as vegetarians we didn’t go hungry and the staff were very accommodating with our requests. We used the shuttle service to and from the airport via tuk tuk ( from the airport it is free). The staff are all wonderful, very polite and helpful, and make up for any shortcomings in the facilities.

I received the best hotel service I have had so far. I have never written any online reviews but I thought the staff members in this hotel were so professional and friendly I felt it would be wrong for me not to compliment them. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted with a cold towel, a cold drink and some chips. Check in was so easy. I just had to relax while the staff handled everything. When I wanted to go anywhere, a staff member would accompany me and talk to the tuk-tuk driver to make sure I got to the right place. Hotel service was provided promptly whenever I asked. I travelled solo this time but when I bring my family to Siem Riep, I will definitely be staying in the same hotel. I highly recommend it to everyone.

This hotel and staff were excellent. They knew exactly what they were talking about and were great help. We loved our stay at this place.

The service was fantastic. We were greeted by name whenever we interacted with staff. The extras like reception tea and cooling towels upon every return to hotel were amazing. They arranged a boxed breakfast for our sunrise tour of Angkor Wat and free tuk-tuk rides to the market and Pub Street. The spa services were divine after a long day.

We loved this hotel. It was an older building with minor maintenance issues, but the staff were exceptional. They took such good care of us that I teared up when I left. I have never been treated better at any other hotel. We also were given a knowledgeable guide and kind driver to show us around.

The staff was the best! Extremely kind and courteous, and very helpful. We were greeted with cool wet towels each time we returned to the hotel! Definitely recommend!

This is a very nice small hotel with excellent service. There wasnt even one member of the entire staff that we could fault. We didn’t feel well for a few days so spent a lot of time in our room and around the pool and they were there to get us anything we need. Absolutely amazing staff. Rooms were nice and pool area very pleasant.

My suggestion to hotel would be to do upgrade doors and locks and counter space and bath room. Shower floors.

The staff are lovely, gracious and only too willing to assist. We had a very enjoyable 5 days at Popular Residence Hotel.
