We travelled to Schonried to visit friends and the hotel and surroundings were stunning.
Fresh snow in the mountains and bright sunny days for hiking then returning to the hotel to first class meals!
The rooms are lovely and spacious and the views from our patio were breathtaking!
Try the 10 course tasting menu- you won’t be disappointed!
Train trip is lovely as well!

It is a family run hotel and you couldn’t feel more part of the Swiss family , we felt home! Spacious room with a balcony, Mountain View ! The bar downstairs with games and traditional meals and drinks ! Amazing gourmet restaurant ! Highly recommend
Wunderbar - tolles Hotel
Lovely staff but very old hotel. Had dinner at the restaurant - had the trout and spent the evening sick and vomiting. Receptionist was kind to offer a small commercial gesture. Hotel itself, most areas closed off and feels like a museum to a bygone era. Don’t recommend for families. All in, very disappointing experience.

Excellent restaurant with exceptional, beautifully prepared and seasoned food. Really deserving of a Michelin Star. The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable to rest. Gardens are a delight. Highly recommended.

Dishes are truly well prepared, with exquisite ingredients, well balanced flavours and perfect plating.

My wife and I had a wonderful dinner at this 100-years old dining room. The venue and the food strikes a good balance between between sticking to its roots and also having been updated and renovated so that it feels professionally fresh but still very true to its history. The food was excellent with some wonderfully fresh and special ingredients such as a generous piece of summer truffle with the chicken or fresh porcini with the veal. The service wonderfully professional. A must visit in the Gstaad area.

Séjour fantastique. Toute l'équipe de l’hôtel et du restaurant est aux petits soins. The hotel was excellent in every respect.
We arrived early (11.30)to see if we could leave our car while we went to the skiing. We were shown to our room right there and then. We got changed and they ran us to ski lifts. When we finished skiing at the end of the day we called the hotel and the owner herself came and picked us up. Beautiful room and excellent service will definitely use this hotel again
