Pros:

Close to our destination. Large, well appointed room.

Cons:

The immediate and surrounding areas are a sad combination of trashed freeways, homeless encampments, and run down businesses. The included breakfast was very poor…tepid eggs, broken machines, missing items…

Good Oakland location.
Pros:

Nice view of the water and San Francisco in the distance.

Cons:

880 right out front. But, we couldn’t hear it when inside.

It was more than we expected and loved the view.
Pros:

The room, the view, cleanliness and the food.

Cons:

The staff member at the front desk in the evening was not friendly or helpful. Almost acted as though she resented being there and did not like being taken away from her personal phone call! The rest of your staff was very friendly and helpful.

Pros:

We love the view of the Bay, and the bed is so comfortable. Rooms are spacious. And I love the bathtub. Always enjoy a good soak when we stay.

Cons:

My only complaint is the pillows. They're way too soft for me. And maybe a variety in the breakfast selections.

I’m coming back for that tub
Pros:

I loved my stay here so much I didn’t want to leave 😭 it almost broke my heart to go home. There was a housekeeper who reminded me of my grandma who passed a few months ago and it felt like she was still with me. She was so kind just like her. The room was so nice on the water and the front desk girl Anahy was so helpful when I was checking in she even told me about some hair stuff I’m going to buy!! I will for surely be coming back bc the water pressure and tub in my room was TOO good 😭❤️‍🔥

We love staying here!
Pros:

I recently stayed at this Best Western location with my family. We were greeted with the kindest hospitality from Cathrine. She got us checked in quickly and provided us with quick and thorough information. This isn’t my first time staying but it has been a while and Catherine was the perfect reminder of why I will continue to choose Best Western Bayside Hotel.

Fantastic Budget Friendly Accommodations
Pros:

Service from Catherine was top notch! She was friendly and made sure I had what I needed at check-in (which was fast by the way) and answered all of my questions. I really enjoyed my stay and the views onto the estuary were magnificent. Great breakfast and easy access to downtown Oakland, the freeway, and SF. I highly recommend staying here.

Pros:

The hot breakfast was excellent and staff were very professional and polite. They accommodated every ask and went above and beyond by accepting my grubhub when I on my way back for my dinner.

Cons:

I found hair in the tub and on the bath towels. I also didn't like that housekeeping went in my room while I was gone out for the day after I told the front desk I declined services. My things were moved around and some stuff even thrown away like my hair net.

Great stay!
Pros:

I love the front desk team. We stayed 4 or 5 nights and everyone was polite, professional, and very accommodating. We had a beautiful view of the lake front and the hot breakfast was great (sausage links, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, potatoe, yogurt, muffins, and waffles....etc..). It is the same thing every morning but you have a wide range of options. So you could create a new breakfast yourself every morning.

Cons:

I would like for the bathroom to be cleaned a bit better. There was hair in the bath tub and the foot mat that goes in the bottom of the tub was dirty.

Pros:

Lovely location opposite the water, nice pool and hot tub. Shame the hot tub didn’t work :(

Great staff, very helpful to resolve an issue we had with our room.
