Hotel Al Alba Hammam & Restaurant

We tried to first contact the hotel manager in the hotel, by phone and by email without answers. So please find our feedback below.
We had a good stay until the second day, when one water pipe in the bathroom broke, creating a strong waterfall and inundating the bathroom first, at high speed so fast that it also started to inundate the room at 6h45 in the morning. I quickly called the night officer (staff arrived at 8am) to sort out the issue. He had to close the entire water of the building for the leak to stop. Then, he started to mop up the floor and managed to get hold of a plumber to fix the pipe, which he did in a few minutes.
This kind of things happen, everywhere, and no one could really be blamed for it.

The only thing that we expected, as we were in our honeymoon and that my wife is pregnant (the staff knew of obviously), was a little bit of consideration, apologies and a commercial gesture from the manager. We tried to be as helpful as possible to avoid the water to substantially spoil the nice floor and left the hotel for the reparation to be done.

You can understand that I was surprised and deeply unhappy, when we only got offered to not pay for the massage that my wife got (worth 30€) the day before at the checkout.

It was our last night of our honeymoon in Morocco, and the last full night of rest we could have gotten. We had left the room after the leak without complaining in the morning so that the plumber could sort everything and all we got in return, after an short night, no possibility to take a shower, and a small discount, and no excuses whatsoever.

Petit bémol pour le hammam qui n’était pas assez chaud mais c’est vraiment pas grand chose …

Chambre avec vue sur cour et bâtiment juste à côté donc pas terrible. Literie trop dure pour moi.

Me gustó todo, pero el precio es un poco elevado y no está dentro de la Medina, pero a 15min a pié. El desayuno fue todo muy rico, pero el precio algo elevado, 6 euros, para lo que es Marruecos. En el precio de booking no incluía la tasa turística diaria que son 2.5 euros al día.

La taille de la chambre et de la salle de bains. On n’y rentre pas à deux personnes en même temps.
La mauvaise insonorisation de la chambre.
L’hôtel ne possède pas d’espaces extérieurs hormis une minuscule terrasse avec une seule table donc le petit déjeuner se passe à l’intérieur dans une salle située en sous sol, peu lumiseuse.
J’ai pris une prestation hammam et massage de 90 min. La pire expérience de ma vie. Ce n’était pas agréable du tout. Je n’ai pas réussi à me détendre. L’endroit n’est ni cosy ni joli. C’est vraiment un espace aménagé dans le sous sol de l’hôtel qui n’offre pas d’intérêt. Je ne conseille pas du tout de prendre cette prestation malgré les tarifs attractifs proposés aux clients de l’hôtel.

Siamo arrivati all’ora del check-in (come avevo anche annunciato più volte) e la camera ci è stata consegnata un’ora dopo, senza neanche una scusa, a parte la solita giustificazione che gli occupanti precedenti erano usciti in ritardo (cosa che non può essere scaricata su di me). Per un viaggiatore queste cose sono davvero odiose, e per fortuna in Marocco non ci è mai successo (spesso, anzi, la camera ci è stata consegnata in anticipo). La colazione (per la vertiginosa cifra di 6 euro) è molto buona ma piuttosto misera, e consumata in una sala con una clientela molto vociante.
