We enjoyed the location, cleanliness and quiet atmosphere.
Pros:

We were met with friendly service at check-in. Our room was clean. We appeciated having a microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker. We used the hot tub and fitness room.

Cons:

No real complaints but if I am trying to think of something I noticed a squeaky floor in my room

Loved the location. Hotel very clean. Beautiful ambiance .Staff very pleasant and helpful.

The grille restaurant was good, bed was comfortable. Over priced
Pros:

The room was not worth the money. Wall paper peeling off and bubbling in some areas. Needs work, bed was comfortable

Bad Form
Pros:

I booked at the colonial hotel on 2-14-26 till 2-16-26 to ski at mt wachusett. I called with a sick child who needed to go home. I spoke with an arrogant and un empathetic manager named briana. No credit , no flexibility and no decency . If you have a family i would stay somewhere else as i was unapologetically charged for two nights.

Lovely overnight stay in a picturesque location
Pros:

With Frank Sinatra singing softly over the speaker system, staying at the Colonial Hotel is like taking a step back in time. It feels like it was once a grand hotel.

Cons:

I had dinner in the dining room. The food was good although the chicken dish was a little heavy on the butter and lacked a vegetable.

I don’t think they did enough to make up for the extreme inconvenience.
Pros:

I always enjoy the place. I go for the hot tub. It’s nice but not super hot.

Cons:

The problem was that there was a fire alarm due to some construction. They said maybe dust. We had to exit the hot tub and go out in extreme cold waiting for the fire department. We asked to extend our check out time for free and they gave us 1 hour.

Beautiful property! Will stay again just without purchasing breakfast on site.
Pros:

Old-school vibe is as really cool!

Cons:

The breakfast was expensive and horrible. Save your money and get breakfast somewhere else. Also, the room smelled a little musty but being able to open the windows was awesome!

This was a convenient, clean place to stay in an area with few accommodations to choose from.
Pros:

The beds were very comfortable, clean facilities. The soap/shampoo/conditioner in the bathtub was very nice.

Cons:

No breakfast- not even coffee and muffins or a cold selection. Peeling wallpaper, outdated carpet causing a musty smell. Sliding door for bathroom was damaged causing myself or must husband to run into the latch many times. Also, the door was not a great door for privacy. Cheap paper products.
