You walk into history when you pass through the solid wooden gate of Palacio Guzmanes. Staying in an historic building is a plus when visiting such an historic town with one of the oldest castles in Spain and a hermitage that will blow your mind. And then the view . . . we arrived at night in the pouring rain, but awoke to the spectacular panorama of misty olive groves from the medieval mansion´s tiled terrace. It captivated my guests from Minnesota to be sure! The food and service in the hotel was excellent. It was nice not to have to look for a restaurant in town during pouring rain at night.
They need to keep the parking space in front of the main door clear for loading and unloading. I don't know if it was another guest or a staff member, but we got soaked trying to unload two blocks away in torrential rain.
