Absolutely perfect, just what we were looking for. Super comfortable rooms after days of walking and roaming. Plenty of space in the rooms, lovely water pressure, Western-style toilets, solid AC, friendly and helpful staff (no language issues), and a restaurant attached for included breakfast. Centrally located and within walking distance to lots of food, shopping, and tourist sites. Not as noisy as some of the previous reviews would suggest, though we were not there on a weekend. Literally could not ask for anything more and will ABSOLUTELY be staying here in the future.

Very good location and customer friendly staff. The rooms are clean and house keeping was excellent.

A love letter to hospitality.

The hospitality and atmosphere of this hotel (The Astor) is incredibly fantabulous. The staff (Rupashree, Debasish, Sujan & Olivia) were really welcoming. We loved our stay here and to be very honest, this is what a customer wants - good hospitality, luxury with elegance & uniqueness, this hotel has it all.

Nice hotel and the housekeeping staff Avijeet, Rony, and Jamir were very friendly and good at their job. The restaurant food was also amazing!

Clean and well-appointed rooms in a heritage property. Housekeeping is timely and on-point. Located centrally near Park Street with an old world charm that is hard to come by in other parts of India. I was worried about noise from the nightclub on the ground floor, but it seems they have nothing going on most days of the week - perhaps weekends are noisier.

Shoutout to Rahul and Avijit who were in-charge of housekeeping for the duration of my stay.

Its location is another big plus — right in the heart of the city, making everything easily accessible while still offering a calm, elegant retreat. The disc and restaurants are amazing, with great ambiance and a lively yet classy vibe.

We find the Astor to be an outstanding value hotel w/ great character in the Park St Kolkata area. The staff have been most helpful and kind without swarminess. We especially commend Rahul Mondal in housekeeping for his efficiency, calm and good humour😏

Extremely noisy rooms with no night's rest at all. We went with our family from Canada and UK and booked the best rooms and suites for several nights to visit Kolkata city. The noise comes from the night club in the ground floor, the noise comes from the bar deck, the nose even comes through the walls behind which are the pantry and washing areas in the rooms. We booked the hotel as it is a heritage property and located on Park Street from where most of the city attractions are close by but it was an absolute disaster. To top it all, the service was slow and completely inefficient with even getting a black tea was a saga every morning at breakfast.

Everything was very good and the staff were attentive. Rooms very clean and the food onsite was excellent. Payel Shabbin Joy helped us at the front desk and was very kind.
