The staff and the location , food and room were exceptionally . Would loved to stay longer. The food was amazing ! , hot and good portions . Would recommend the pie. Seriously gorgeous.
The breakfast was tasty, hot , and just wonderful.
I feel that this little gem should be recognised as an outstanding place to stay . We will be going back . Thank you to them for making my birthday special .
Right by the river , the shops and parking as well . What more do you need!
But one other thing to mention, the staff were friendly , helpful, could not do enough for us !
There was nothing not to like .
We had a lovely stay at the hotel. Very friendly staff.
Food excellent,comfy bed.staff very nice.
The location
The room was shabby in desperate need of refurbishment. Ensuite door lock was broken, Room was too small for two single beds. One was pushed up against a hot radiator. Ensuite bin broken and unusable. Definitely not worth the asking price
Staff very welcoming the court yard room was great especially with having a dog with me, the room was clean and comfy bed and lovely central location
Staff muito disponível e acolhedor. Quarto tinha sido renovado, muito confortável. Jantar estava delicioso!
Nada a apontar
The room was big, quiet(with thick walls because it was a 17 th century coaching inn) and warm with a large operational radiator. It was extremely clean and decorated in a modern style.
The food in the restaurant was excellent ( well cooked and presented and tasty, generous portions).
There was free car parking at the back of the property which was very useful and a bonus.
The lawn at the back leads down to the Thames and will be great in the summer.
There is no lift to the higher floors,, making carrying cases up stairs a little awkward, but this goes with the age of the building!
The breakfast was quite expensive but we didn't try it.
Traditional and comfortable
Nothing
Comfortable and friendly
The pubs /hotel was beautiful, with a gorgeous open fire which was very cosy. The staff were really friendly. Our room was nice and clean and nicely decorated. Lovely little view of the canal down at the bottom of the field near the rooms. Great location in the centre of town.
Nothing to mention
The staff very helpful.
Anti social behaviour out the hotel.
Couldn’t close the window.
Heavy traffic all night.
The sheets and towels were clean
The property is old (wonderful quirky building) but neglected and tired, the stairs, decor and room uninviting.
It was horrible.
The ironic thing is, I recognised the hotel as soon as I pulled up in the car park opposite and realised it was a hotel I stayed in some years ago when I met a friend. I remember thinking then that I would never go back and here I was in the same hotel in the same condition with the same grubby feel to it.
