Hotel Porto Coral

The parking is not lit and i didnt sleep well since i was afraid someone would break into my car. There were no cameras in the parking lot either.

Un hotel que podría brindar mucho, en una muy buena locación, pero muy descuidado, nos tocó una habitación junto a una puerta que utilizan de bodega toda rota, con un gran hoyo que dejaba ver lo guardado. La ventana a la terraza no cerraba bien. Considero nos tocó mala suerte ya que la pequeña bahía que tiene el hotel estaba llena de sargazo y era imposible poder meterse al mar.

The property is at the end of the Malicon, so a little more quiet. Our room faced the beach, and although the Caribbean was beautiful, the beach at this section is less groomed. The room was nice, had a small kitchenette, and was good size. However, small maintenance issues were noticeable. This was not a big deal to me, but some might be bothered. The hotel is right at the start of the shops and restaurants. The staff does not speak much English, but we had no problem using an app translator. They were all very friendly and helpful. I have stayed here before, and I would stay again. For the price, its a very nice option.

Es un lugar tranquilo, muy cómodo.

Beach was unusable due to Sargasso weed. check in time was later than listed. Came back to the room to find someone in my bed who was drunk and came into the wrong room. also the sliding glass doors didn't close properly and had large gaps. no access to trash or water from the room. Staff was nice.

Buena opción hacia el final de la zona principal; podrían aprovechar más estar frente al mar.

El personal es de lo más amable y atento, las habitaciones son bonitas y limpias

Awesome 4 days spent here in the most quietest area of the beach. Honestly the best hotel for the price. Amazing staff and yes the building has new owners which are still putting in effort to repairing.

Very nice Hotel at the south end of the malacon. Room was large and comfortable right on the beach of Mahahual. Nice balcony for sitting. The beach view is off the pier and not the best of Mahahual, but certainly a nice Caribbean view. Plenty of restaurants and retail just out the door. We had some internet and TV problems, but they quickly offered a new room. No coffee in room or at hotel.. Had to head out to get morning coffee. They are building more rooms on the other side of the malacon. They will NOT be on the beach. Probably check which room before booking. We will stay again.

I’ve been traveling to Mahahual for many years and have had the opportunity to stay in many places. This hotel, which I was shocked to see listing Junior suites with kitchenettes, was by far the BEST deal. Or so I thought. I booked several months in advance. Upon arrival, there was not gas for the stove top nor any cookware what so ever. The first night was sleepless because the air conditions made so much noise that, unless you had ear plugs, good luck. My husband insisted on a different room so the staff did accommodate however, in the second room, the toilet, shower and sink would spontaneously stop working at any time during the day. Additionally, the beach was not cleaned...

I have to say, the staff were very nice though. They cleaned the room each day, brought us fresh water and towels and found us cookware and spare utensils. It looked like they were in transition as by the time we left they were working on cleaning up the outside. I may give this place a second chance...

una cama, el baño mu chicooooo, no aceptan pagp con tarjeta, no tienen internet, la vista al mar es terrible y mal oliente, la verdad terribleee

The hotal was closed, due to some electric problem. There was another hotel, same company, the staff explained us the situation, we had to accept because we were already there, that hotel was ok, but it is not even next to the beach.

Not easy to control the water temperatures in the shower.

Esa parte de la playa tiene mucho sargazo fuera de ahí todo lo demás está muy bien

Fue una experiencia agradable.
El hotel es cómodo.
Habitaciones muy amplias, limpias.
Lamentablemente hay un manglar pequeño frente al hotel. Ésto impide nadar enfrente.
A favor, es que tienes una vista privilegiada para ver el amanecer y la llegada de los cruceros al puerto.

Esperaba un hotel con playa pero las condiciones del sargazo no permitía entrar a la playa y en el hotel no hay suficiente personal para limpiar, otra incomodidad es que no tiene restaurant funcionando

Excelente hotel, el unico a pie de playa esta ubicada iniciando el boulevard
