Charmantes Haus in guter Lage, Zimmer renovierungsbedürftig
Pros:

Tolle Lage (Umgebung Clifton, trotzdem schnell in der Altstadt), Biergarten mit gutem Angebot zu fairen Preisen, schönes altes Haus, nettes Personal. Zusätzliche Frühstücksoptionen.

Cons:

Fenster trotz hoher Temperatur nur ein Spalt zu öffnen, sehr abgewohnt (Teppich), staubig. Frühstück ohne Obst, Käse, Wurst. Duschtemoeratur nicht kühler regulierbar.

Perfect for the weekend!
Pros:

Great location and tidy hotel. The staff are amazing! They are very helpful and went above and beyond.

Cons:

Rooms were a little hot, but there was a heat wave! We were provided with a fan, which was great.

A delightful part of Bristol
Pros:

Channings is an old hotel in Clifton which is a beautiful part of Bristol. The hotel has excellent ornate ceilings.
It’s really a student pub with some rooms upstairs. The beer garden has very basic furniture but is a very pleasant place to sit on a hot day. Staff were excellent, we stayed during very hot weather and they gave us ice to take to our room.

Cons:

The bars and dining areas are very well worn, a refurbishment is long overdue. Breakfast was a very basic offering, and on our third day there was no yogurt.
There are steps to the front door and the bedrooms are upstairs and the shower was over the bath. There is no lift , if you have mobility problems, this is not the hotel for you. Reception closes at ten at night.

It was disappointing.
Pros:

The staff

Cons:

The hot water tap in the bathroom was loose from the sink. The TV didn't work. I reported these issues and nothing was fixed in the 2 days i was there. Table reservation was prioritised for football fans not hotel guests.
One night my burger came up cold as I was tired from driving I didn't have the energy to complain.

Cons:

The toilet seat was loose and we weren’t able to find anyone to help so we fixed it ourselves. It was very busy due to World Cup so I don’t blame the staff entirely

Breakfast substandard products and poor choice offered. And having a lady aching up the slot machine while having breakfast is not acceptable . One of the party cut her hand on the door in to room 32 little help
