Brown Beach House is a good option if you're looking for accommodations close to the beach. We stayed for 3 days and enjoyed our experience. We found the hotel in general could be cleaner, and the rooms were a little dated, despite being 'modern' in decoration. Our A/C broke the last night before we left, which could have been a problem given the 40 degree weather. The staff as well were not all friendly, and depending on who was working the front desk, we sometimes felt like we were a nuisance.
If you book through Expedia, breakfast is included at their restaurant downstairs, which was a huge plus. We were thinking traditional American continental breakfast, but you can have a large, sit-down breakfast, and it is included in the cost! The food was phenomenal; we had shakshuka, buffalo mozzarella salad, and many dips fresh challah.
Overall, the location and breakfast is worth coming back for, although the hotel is a little small and dated.

Amazing stay at Brown Beach
The hotel was adorable! And just a 5 minute walk to the beach. The staff was friendly & helpful- they made you feel welcomed. I would definitely stay at this property, or maybe try one of their other ones, the next time I'm in Tel Aviv.
We loved the spacious room and location. The beach is right there and it's a short walk to Carmel Market. The room was excellent (we had a room with a patio) with the exception of some plumbing issues. The shower drain made a constant gurgling noise that was super loud and constant throughout our stay. We loved spending time on the patio, it felt like we were experiencing the city even when we were resting at the hotel. The gym was a mess so I ended up working out on the beach. I highly recommend skipping the gym and going to the beach! There's a ton of workout equipment on every beach. The breakfast was delicious.
Brown Beach House is a trendy boutique hotel located in the heart of Tel Aviv, It's just moments away from the beach and countless restaurants, bars and cafés. The hotel boasts cool interior design quirks, a relaxing outdoor terrace and an excellent breakfast that makes it a laid-back but hip choice.
Brown beach house needs a makeover, at least in the rooms.
Old outdated furniture, cracks in walls and dark. Also, the noise from the street is very loud.
The upside is the front desk and dining area staff are excellent.
Great location, staff and service
This was my second stay at the Brown Beach, the first was in 2017. The first stay was great, clean rooms, tasty breakfast... nice lobby snacks. This time the room they gave me was initially horrid, dank and tiny. I was able to move, and the new room was nicer, but the bed was terribly uncomfortable and lumpy, there were cockroaches and the breakfast was not good (undercooked eggs, burnt toast) and good luck getting the attention of wait staff. I was so disappointed. The front desk staff was great, but there's only so much they can do.
I was just at a hotel in Jerusalem that was great. This hotel compares badly on every level. The only friendly person was this morning’s staff member at the front desk.
Best breakfast ever! Can't believe it was included in price! Vegan option was just as yummy as nonvegan options.
Very well located hotel but the rooms are not set up with enough closet or drawers. Very pet friendly. Some staff members are friendlier than others. The parking in the basement is tiny but very convenient. If your are planning to use it, make sure your car is not higher than 1.50 meter
The room was poorly laid with a long corridor to go the bathroom from the bedroom. We did not get washcloths and only one tissue box when I asked for more.
