このホテルには二泊しましたが、ガッカリしました。ガーデンビューの部屋を予約したのですが、全体的に相当古くて汚く、更にバスルームが特に最悪でした。まず、トイレの排水が壊れる→ロビー(部屋から結構離れているので手間)に言いにいく→ホテルの人が直す、次に夜シャワーのお湯が出ない→ロビーに言いにいく→ホテルの人が直そうとするも、なかなか治らない→結局翌朝別の部屋に変更すると言って提示されたのがプールビューの部屋でガーデンビューのほうが高くてわざわざ指定したのでプールビューは嫌だと言って始めて新しいガーデンビューの部屋に変更、更には変更後の部屋でもお湯が出ない…
親子での旅に利用したので、親に申し訳ない気持ちになりました。。

Great hotel! My room had a balcony overlooking a waterfall and I fell asleep to the sounds of water every night! Very peaceful! The hotel literally backs up to the monkey forest so you get monkeys on your balcony! Super cute but very naughty! Don't put anything down! They steal it! The staff arranged a private tour on Bali for me for a very reasonable price. Delicious feee breakfast. Beautiful pool. Convenient to walk evwrywhere!

Tolles Hotel, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, gutes Frühstück aber zu wenig Auswahl für lange Aufenthalte. Super Lage, direkt angrenzend an den *Monkey Forest*. Daher auch viele Affen in der Hotelanlage. Wenn man keine Angst vor Affen hat ist dies ein einzigartiges Erlebnis.
Viele Restaurants und Shops in der Umgebung.
100%ige Weiterempfehlung!

We really liked the hotel. The staff was nice, the room was spacious and everything was quite clean. The wifi was superb. But there were a lot of monkies. The hotel is very close to monkey forest which means that the monkies runs around on the hotel. We had quite a few of them on our balcony every day. It's fun for a few days but you tire quickly. We also tried to order dinner at the hotel one night and found out that they could only make one of the things on their menu, since they were apparently out of everything else. Nice hotel but too many monkeys and too little food.

Sehr gute Lage. Sauberer kleiner Pool. Super nettes und hilfsbereites Personal; ich hatte bei Anreise im Taxi ein Gepäckstück vergessen und sofort raste ein Mitarbeiter auf dem Motorroller dem Taxi hinterher und brachte mein Gepäck schließlich zurück! Das Frühstück war lecker mit frischem Obst, hätte allerdings etwas mehr sein können.
Das morgendliche "Affentheater" vor dem Zimmer war herrlich anzusehen, man darf allerdings nichts liegen lassen, sonst klauen es die grauen Affen gern. Auch aus unserem Frühstücksobst aß mal ein Äffchen mit, wurde vom Personal dann verscheucht.
Eine der angebotenen Touren mit Fahrer hatten wir gebucht, war sehr schön, Eintritte sind nicht inklusive, aber meist auch nicht sehr teuer.
Die Zimmerausstattung war einfach, aber O.K., Die Umgebung ist sicher und das Personal ehrlich, daher ist der antiquierte und vermutlich leicht einzutretende Schließmechanismus der schönen traditionell gestalteten Zimmertüren kein Problem.
Wir waren für 7 Nächte im Wenara.
Alles in allem ein sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel für alle, die keinen Superluxus brauchen und Freude an frei lebenden Affen haben.

Comfortable hotel located a few meters away from the monkey forest. The staff is very helpful and always in a good mood. I enjoyed swimming in the refreshing pool after long my long walks in Ubud.

We liked this hotel and enjoyed a week there. The room was big. We got an AC room which cooled the room just fine. We had monkeys visit our balcony and/or the pool almost every day (which we thought was great). The furniture in the rooms were made of nice wood. This hotel borders The Monkeys Forest and that is why it gets monkey visitors. The first day at breakfast a monkey stoled some of my toast which I found very funny. The Monkey Forest entry (cost about 3 USD) is only a 3 minute walk from this hotel. We really liked The Monkey Forest. It was very beautiful and had over 600 monkeys living there. Families of monkeys were all over the place and so very cute. We went there a few times. There are a number of shops and restaurants close by. We would stay their again.

Bra läge, service och frukost. Men utan AC på rummen blir nätterna väldigt varma.

Stayed 4 nights Xmas to NY. Paid $50/n AUD where have seen in reviews can get $30 in lower seasons.

No fly screens but if you keep doors shut and air con on all the time no probs
Hot water and water pressure patchy or non existent at peak time. We showered later in afternoon no probs
They need hooks in bathroom, 2nd bed side table and a second lamp in room.
Not good room if going to spend heaps of time in it. But lazing by excellent pool to read and rest if def recommend this place

This was a great cheap place to stay near monkey forest. I loved watching the monkeys out back in the mornings. The hotel is very basic and lacked a decent shower but everything else was good. Breakfast was amazing . location was great and pool was nice.also staff is very helpful and nice

You can't get any closer to the monkey forest! Our room was very serviceable and you did get to see some monkeys from there. If you are concerned about overheating make sure you get a room with AC and not just a fan. It's also close by to a good variety of shops (both fixed price and stalls where you can haggle) and places to eat. Very easy to use the reception desk to organise transportation also with reasonable rates. Would stay here again!

We stayed for 3 nights , it was a cheap stay but not the best choice. Room condition was really tired and old. Pool area is nice and breakfast is also ok. service was average, for example they forgot to book us shuttle service.

Very dirty!!! Tinea manuum!!! The rooms appeared to be neat and tidy. But the linen is actually full of invincible nasty infectious fungus. After few hours of being in the hotel room, my hands got infected by a nasty fungus. With my entire palm covered with little blisters. The fungus was so aggressive, that normal anti-fungal medicine wouldn't do anything to improve the condition. I had to come back to Australia early to see a dermatologist.

This is a strategically located resort of the budget variety. The rooms are well worn and smelly. Once you remember the low price, these worries can be set aside! The staff are the most friendly we've met in Bali. Good breakfast. The grounds are lush and well kept.

Beds were comfortable and bathrooms ok. Clean but in need of facelift. The rooms were pretty basic - a bed, air-con, side table, lamp and a place to hang clothes.

Monkeys were intimidating when they came onto our balcony, screaming at us through the window while rocking the little table back and forth.
Loads of road noise until about 3am and back again about 5am from our rooms.

I had a lovely stay at Wenara Bungalows in Feb 2015. The accommodation is relaxing with good facilities (the pool is lovely!). Wenara is in a great location in Ubud, really close to the Monkey Forest and near to lots of great restaurants, shops and bars. The staff are helpful and friendly. The only area for improvement would be the cleanliness of the rooms. The rooms are very comfortable, but could do with a deep clean. Other than that, I would thoroughly recommend Wenara to anyone staying in Ubud. Great value for money
