Nice hotel adjoining the Curve shopping mall.
Pros:

gem of an old hotel tucked away adjacent to the Curve Shopping Centre/Ikea. Facilities are, in general, still in good shape. Iron, hot water, lighting and air conditioning working fine. The room I stayed in was quite spacious. Overall; despite some shortcomings still value for money.

Had stayed here previously. This time stayed here with my family for a week. Breakfast pastries provided were quite good.

Cons:

Food choice was quite limited and monotonous. But good enough for basic survival. Bath towels provided looked very worn out, looking like overused floor mats.

Staff look a bit dour and seem to have a couldn't-care-less attitude toward client requests. Asked the front desk to fix the malfunctioning room safety box but they never seem to take any action to repair. Afternoon before my checkout had asked the duty manager to arrange transport to the airport but upon checking out the next morning the front desk person said nobody relayed the request to her. Some internal miscommunications. It would be helpful for the hotel to send its staff for occasional motivational training to give the place a little bit more air of joyfulness.

We’ve always had good experiences staying here. The room was a bit warm though, couldn’t figure out the air conditioning setting. Otherwise enjoyed the stay!

A go-to for a comfortable stay, being treated courteously from the concierge to the doorman and everyone else in between
Pros:

Service was 5 stars.
Bed was comfortable, meaning we got restful place to recharge amidst hectic schedules.
