Safe, different dining options!

This area was a unique little enclave unto itself with a view of lake Dora.
We were on the 2nd floor of a 4 story during hurricane Debbie. During the night water started coming in to the closet area of our room soaking our clothes. The ceiling was previously water stained and patched, so this wasn’t just because of Debbie. Because this leak has not been corrected is the reason for the poor review. Otherwise it was a nice stay.

The hotel is in a nice area, tons of things to do but the hotel needs and update some rooms are old, have old furniture and the breakfast is not a breakfast.

Our first room had a leaky mini split unit that drained all over the counter. They moved us rooms and the new room that had an under performing AC. Also sewer smell in the bathroom, shower did not regulate properly Freezing cold or scalding hot and ants crawling all over the bathroom counter. Lots of spider webs on lamp shades and in the corners of both rooms. Will not ever return. Staff was nice though

A great find just minutes from Mount Dora. They have three buildings and we stayed in the furthest building from the main building. It was different but we got used to it. We had a balcony and a nice view of the lake. There was breakfast every day. The grounds are very nice. The only ding would be the pool. It needed vacuuming and I asked about that at the front desk, but it wasn’t done during our stay. The hotel is convenient to several restaurants, a nice park, a boardwalk of sorts along the lake, and community that is picturesque. If we ever come back to this area, we would most definitely stay here again

The lake view from our room was beautiful! There were different choices of restaurants and bars available in walking distance. The rooms were very big and clean.

Only problem was late night screaming and loud vehicles.

Nice place, walking distance to food and shops. Great views, nice pool. Wish they would keep up on property maintenance. Building could use some pressure washing, patio furniture was not in great condition. Overall a nice place. We will go back at some point.

Very welcoming and pleasant staff. Hotel is the heart of downtown and spread across three different buildings, all overlooking Lake Dora. Downtown Tavares is small but very fun, and activity on the lake can be enjoyed from your balcony. If you're traveling to Tavares, by far your best option.

Great spot next to the water and boat ramp. Perfect for bringing your water toys. Rooms are spacious and the view is great. We love this place.

The room was comfortable and small refrigerator with coffee maker convenient. However, we were unaware that our room was in the building across the street from the main hotel. This meant that in pouring rain, we had to go outside to the main building for breakfast, which was good, BTY.

One night stay was ok. This is an older hotel but in a great location. The room has noticeably worn furnishings. Outlets do not hold charging cords well and aren’t conveniently located. The bed was comfortable and there was a really nice view of the lake. Staff were very nice.

Overall our stay was ok. There were a few things that were an inconvenient while traveling with our dog (10 lb shih-tzu). For one we weren't able to take her behind the main building in the large grassy area to sit and enjoy being outside. Although the hotel and surrounding areas were pet friendly, there were also alot of restrictions...inconvenient. The hotel has many restrictions as well, like giving 24 hour notice to have someone clean the room, or having to go pick up extra towels from the main building. Don't get me started on their towels...let's just say if you need a good exfoliation, their towels will do the job! The music was loud, however we enjoyed it, and they go inside at 10pm. Breakfast wasn't really advertised well, basically it's more of a "vending" continental breakfast. Our room could have been a little cleaner, especially the tile floors, but we've been in worse.

Stay here several times when visiting the area of Howey in the Hills. The rooms are spacious and clean and most rooms have great views of the lake. It's location is convenient in the middle of Tavares and short drive to Mount Dora .

Nice property with friendly and helpful staff. Pool area is nice with views of the lake. We were excited that breakfast was included but found it a bit lacking with mostly microwaveable items in a small fridge.

Great location but buildings are gross…I would not stay here again.
