Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Mysore

While the property itself is impressive, with a great location, spacious rooms, and clean facilities, the hospitality experience at Radisson Blu Mysore leaves much to be desired.

Having stayed here multiple times, I have consistently felt that guest engagement and service culture are missing. I have rarely seen the General Manager interacting with guests, which often reflects the importance given to customer experience. The Operations Manager, Mr. Bharat, appears indifferent and unapproachable, with little interest in guest feedback or even basic courtesies.

Most staff members seem unmotivated and inadequately trained in hospitality. From the moment you enter the hotel until check-out, it is uncommon to be greeted warmly or asked about your stay. The property appears to rely heavily on local staff, but proper training and supervision seem lacking.

The restaurant experience is average. Food is good, but I have never seen the Food & Beverage Manager engaging with guests or seeking feedback. Restaurant staff often appear uninterested in service. Reception staff frequently seem undertrained and lack awareness of basic guest requirements. Security personnel could also benefit from better professional training.

Fitness and wellness facilities are good on paper, but trainers are often unavailable. Requests for luggage assistance or replenishment of toiletries can take an unreasonably long time. Guests are advised to carefully review their bills before checkout, as discrepancies can occur.

What disappoints me most is the absence of personal recognition and guest relationship management. Despite multiple stays, there has never been an effort to acknowledge loyalty, offer an upgrade, or even exchange simple pleasantries.

The hotel has all the ingredients of a great property—excellent location, good infrastructure, and comfortable rooms—but something important is missing: genuine hospitality and guest-centric service.

With several excellent accommodation options available in Mysore, travellers may wish to carefully evaluate their choices before booking.

Hotel ambiance and the cleanliness is at par has very pleasant atmosphere.
Equipped with big and clean rooms also with the large bathrooms with jacuzzi.

Once again, this wonderful hotel has exceeded all expectations in both service and comfort.

I’ve been staying here regularly for several years while travelling to Mysore on business, and every visit somehow manages to be even better than the last. Mr Harikumar B and his team welcomed us this time with such warmth that it felt less like checking into a hotel and more like arriving at a family reunion—minus the awkward relatives and questionable buffet choices!

When we decided to open our second office in India, Mysore was the obvious choice. The fact that it’s conveniently close to this exceptional hotel was certainly an added bonus.

On this occasion, I was travelling with a colleague who was genuinely blown away by the level of personal service we received throughout our stay. The dining experience, as always, was outstanding. Whether it was the excellent buffet at The Spring, settling into Myst Lobby Bar with a fine bar meal while attempting to solve all of cricket’s mysteries from the comfort of my seat, or dining at my favourite restaurant, My South, every meal was superb.

I’ve heard that My South has hosted its fair share of celebrities and sports stars over the years, and having sampled the food and hospitality, I can confidently say they would have left every bit as impressed as we were. The cuisine is truly five-star, matched only by the impeccable service from the excellent Harikrishnan.

The hotel’s stunning views across the Chamundi Hills and Mysore Race Course are simply the icing on the cake. If you’re visiting this beautiful city, I honestly can’t think of a better place to stay.

A heartfelt thank you to the entire team, especially Sukant, Mangalan, Rabi, Praveen, and a special mention to the wonderful Ipsita, who is always eager to help, incredibly knowledgeable, and never short of excellent recommendations—whether it’s local cuisine or insights into the city itself.

Thank you all once again. I look forward to returning soon, and if the welcome gets any warmer, I may have to start paying council tax.
