My husband and I had stayed in the honeymoon suite and the room itself was nice. My favorite was the jacuzzi lol the complimentary breakfast was good as well and the front staff was so sweet.
For the first couple of nights, we had the "Do not disturb" sign on the door to our room. We took it off because we needed room service, however, about an hour maybe longer the person with the cart didn't knock before entering our room. The cleaning staff should consider that people might still be in the room...
It is in a good location. Always clean, always quiet. Love watching nature on the river . We love staying here.
Something can’t control. Someone smoking weed and stinking up everything.
The room was clean and spacious. Very comfortable.
Not one thing.
The location was very convenient for all of our needs. The owner was super nice.
We had gotten a room with a hot tub, fire place and balcony—the hot tub was nasty—jets hadn’t been cleaned in years and the smell was horrendous. The balcony looked like it was being held on by super glue. The room smelt like wet dog—and don’t get me started on how hard and old the beds were. The hotel had signs all over the building “no smoking, vaping, etc.” but our neighbor was smoking on their balcony and it kept coming into our room. We ended up having to switch rooms—the owner was very nice in letting us do so, however we downgraded and they didn’t offer us a refund for the room downgrade. Cleaning was subpar, the second room we were in had bottle caps on the floor, where you could clearly tell they either didn’t look right beside the bed or just didn’t care. The lady that did the breakfast had gotten herself a cup of hot water—drank some then used the rest to spot clean the eating area. We paid a good amount to stay here, and honestly I think we would’ve been better off at the super 8.
Property was small but rooms were big and very clean.
Elevator was a bit slow, but not horrible.
The bed seemed a little worn and was not the most comfortable/
Location & how clean the facility and rooms were.
I did a check for bed bugs upon arrival and didn’t find anything. There are bed bug encasements on the mattresses. We only stayed for one night and saw no signs of any bugs. I wanted something non smoking that doesn’t allow pets and was reasonably priced. This checked those boxes, and the employees at the front desk were pleasant. We liked the DIY waffles.
The building is old. They obviously have attempted to renovate and did a fairly good job, but a few things that they skipped just really stood out. For instance, the electrical outlets and light switches are all old, yellow, and very dirty in the crevices. The doors are also an ugly, fake wood with damage around the bottoms. Those two things just brought down the experience for me and felt a little ick.
The new bathroom light and counters were nice, but then the floor tile grout was very dirty and dark. Other things I noticed in the room were the tub that had areas where the color layer had been worn off and a large area along the front where the whole tub had apparently been repaired with some sort of bondo.
The door to the balcony didn’t have a seal and would move back and forth in the frame, letting cold air in and not feeling secure. It was actually cold enough to need heat at night, and that is my biggest complaint. The ac/heater had a round dial going from cold to hot. I had no idea where to place it and ended up getting the room too hot. It would stay off until the room was cold and then stay on until the room was too hot. I had to get up three times during the night to adjust it.
We always use a sound machine app on our phone on hotels, and it was needed here. We could hear rooms above and beside us.
The sheets had a couple of holes or tears, and the bathroom sink faucet made a grinding sound when shut off (and was more difficult to push down that it should have been). Tub and sink faucets in the bathroom had apparently been cleaned with something too abrasive that was taking the silver color off. The toilet was the sort with a button on top, and you had to hold it down longer to get a complete flush. You still had to check to see if it all went down though because sometimes it didn’t. We did not use the shower since it was one night.
Breakfast was fine.
How close to things it is to everything both ways, close to shopping mall , always clean and taken care of,and breakfast is nice for price, and the ladie that works breakfast is wonderful ! So sweet
Nothing I didn't like
The facility was clean.
The balcony door did not lock properly. A chain lock was installed instead of fixing the sliding door correctly. Because the hotel is on the main road the noise was very loud.
