PMTK residence is a few blocks off a big street (Lad Phrao) but it's very quiet-- birds, not traffic, will wake you in the morning. It's a ten minute walk, if that, to the nearest MRT station, and there's lots of excellent street food in the area. Our room was large, airconditioned, and had a balcony, refrigerator, clean and spacious bathroom. There's no wifi, and the internet via ethernet is a bit dodgy. The pool is on the roof, lovely, clean, and we always seemed to have it all to ourselves. The staff is very helpful, but have very limited English. The room was cleaned impeccably every day. All in all, for about 30$ a night, amazing value.
