I liked a lot about the property the first time I stayed
The second time toilet seat I had to clean before used.
Bed bug!!! got about 49 bites lower legs and fore arms.
And the noise from the night staff talking loudly to customers outside my door at 1am kept me awake and frustratedly tired.
The location was brilliant, and the room was quite well equipped and clean. The staff member in the attached takeaway was helpful and polite, if a little forgetful at times.
The keycard to our room was very temperamental.
One of the two lights in the en suite did not work, and one of the bedside sockets was fiddly.
The in - room instructions described breakfast as being served in the restaurant, without explaining where the restaurant was - it was outside and at the back of the building (there was also a cafe / takeaway on the street frontage, but this was closed at breakfast times).
These instructions also said breakfast was available until 10am at weekends and on bank holidays; on this bank holiday Monday it turned out to have finished at 9am.
Great location, very clean
Nothing
Central.
Their parking enforcement agency has been hounding me relentlessly since my visit. I have contacted the hotel many times to resolve this, but I continue to be threatened with legal action.
Great location. Quirky oldie-worldie place fitting for the area.
Entrance ro the hotel is through a takeaway shop, which is fine but not well signposted. No one there at key drop-off so I left it on the counter. Shower over the bath not easy to access for someone with mobility problems.
At least the bed was clean
Room 2, Broken shower, broken bath handles, broken floor tiles in bathroom, toilet failed to flush properly, curtains hanging down and torn, air conditioning unit dripping water. Unable to get into room with swipe card, after going out, had to get staff to assist as we experienced at around 23.00 -00.00 when someone was hammering on the front door to get into his room and no staff available.
Amazing Central location with parking avaliable.
Beautiful four poster bed with ensuite.
Later at night get a few of the pub goes leave, but expecting it, wasnt a problem.
The bed was clean and comfortable. Free parking. Polite staff.
Some of the lightbulbs were flickering on and off. The shower head didn't have a mounting point on the wall, it was broken, which then means holding the shower head in one hand while trying to get lathered up. There was nowhere to put a wash bag in the bathroom apart from balancing precariously on the sink. The toilet seat was cracked and needed replacing. Heating did not work. I was told that the aircon produced heat, it did not. A plug in electric fan was provided and that did take the edge off, but not what I would expect in a hotel. The bedside tables had no handles on the drawers and were in a poor state. TV was on a stand, but was sitting at an odd angle, so, broken. Some power sockets didn't work, so when you plugged in a lamp, you couldn't then charge your phone beside the bed. All of these things are fixable, and shouldn't cost a lot to rectify - once fixed, the room would be fine for the cost.
