Quite tired and vulnerable
Pros:

Location was ok. There was parking although very very tight.

Cons:

You check in through a takeaway shop. The rooms are more like a motel so it feels quite exposed. The furnishings are very old and in need of an overhaul.

Cons:

Reception was a fast food style spot and the outer facade of the premises was rough looking compared with the actual comfort and level of hospitality that was actually provided, I would stay here again

The bedroom was spacious.

Cons:

The reception is the Burrito shop. We had been passed the hotel and found a postman who told us where to find it.
Unfortunately there was a missing communication between the man who showed us to our room and the dining room which wasn't open for our breakfast and so we had to go elsewhere having left a message on the phone number to say we were waiting outside. We did receive a very apologetic call later offering a refund.

The location.

Cons:

The room. Big wardrobe but not suitable to hang clothes. A big ironing board was in it. There was a big empty cupboard not suitable for use . Basically nowhere to put clothes other than leave in suitcases. Kettle was on top of the cub board but the electric cable was too short to reach the socket. Kettle could only be used on the floor. Milk, coffee, sugar etc was available but not replenished without us asking. Room was only cleaned on one of our days. Big four poster bed but not possible for one of us to see the TV when in bed because of one of the posters. We moved the TV onto a big fridge. Totally surplus to requirements. No easy chairs in the room. The shower room was obviously fairly new. Very clean. The fixed mixer tap over the washbasin was not suitable for filling the kettle. No room to get any part of the kettle under the tap. We had to fill the kettle using mugs. Breakfast was served in the main part of the hotel. We had to go outside to get to the room. Fortunately it didn’t rain too hard. The room itself was bitterly cold. We had to keep our coats on. As did the lady who cooked and served the breakfasts. Odd to see her in a big winter coat. She was very pleasant but we did not have cooked breakfasts. Our room key card was unreliable. On almost every occasion when we returned to the hotel the card didn’t work however we swiped it. We were told that this might have been because we kept it near to our phones. On one occasion we were given a master card giving us access to other rooms. There were very few staff members, all very pleasant. However, we got the impression that they had never run a hotel before and that they were learning on the job. There was no formal reception. You had to go to the burrito restaurant, being part of the hotel. Fortunately there was always someone there even when the restaurant was closed.

Very disappointing stay
Pros:

The plus points - the location is close to the town centre, the included car parking and overnight the room was quiet until early morning (6/7am ish).
But the negative issues far out weighed these, please see below.

Cons:

The room was very cold, the central heating radiators never came on at all. The air con unit only blew cold air not hot, a very small electric fan heater was in the room as I suspect they knew the heating did not work.
No hair dryer in the room.
For a 3 night stay the room was never re freshed, only a couple of coffee sachets and 2 milk sachets for 3 nights.
Toilet rolls ran out and had to buy our own. I did message the hotel but none ever appeared (or coffee, milk etc.).
Shower was broken and held up with a cable tie, water flooded the floor.
Only 2 bath towels provided, no hand towels, and never changed.
There is non hotel reception, you have to check in via the Taco/Burrito bar, which is closed in the mornings so there is no one around.
I just can't believe how this hotel has got a 4 star rating.

Would recommend for visitors to the area, will return when I’m next in town.
Pros:

Easy to find, check in was easy. Great location for the Town Centre. Staff were friendly & attentive. Parking on site. Rooms were clean & comfortable. We had dinner in the burrito restaurant downstairs & this was lovely too.

Cons:

I don’t have anything negative to say about my trip. Everything was fine.
