De Mandarin Beach Resort Suites & Villas

We took our parents here for a vacation and stayed in one of the family villas with private pool. Overall, our stay was very pleasant. The villa was very clean and comfortable. One thing to note for future guests is while the photos show a small kitchen, the property does not allow you to use the kitchen. The private pool was very nice but keep in mind you do share it with the other family villa so its not exclusively private. Access to the beach was very convenient. Breakfast buffet was very good with nice selection. The staff was exceptional, extremely helpful and accommodating to our every request. In particular the restaurant and house cleaning staff were excellent. Location is very walkable to everything on the Candolim strip.

Everything great from arrival to check-out.
After our smooth, friendly welcome we were taken to our lovely spacious premium suite room.
As well as enjoying the most comfortable bed and softest fluffy towels we were able to look out on the beautiful gardens and pool area from our large balcony.
The staff here are remarkable - every one has a smile for you, they combine efficiency with a warm comforting style from management to gardeners.
Breakfast was lovely, with a wide variety of tasty foods & drinks on offer served in their comfortable, pleasant dining room. And having a chef on duty to cook your eggs & omelettes to order was such a bonus!
A short walk down a private path from the resort takes you onto a wonderful beach with traditional ‘shacks’ serving food/drinks and providing free sunbeds and parasols.
And whilst the hotel is quiet & peaceful it is only a short walk from the busy main road with its numerous shops, bars/restaurants, etc.

This hotel is situated inbetween the main Candolim Road and the beach, both being no more than a 5 minute walk. The rooms are spacious and the beds are big. Having stayed here twice we would recommend trying to get a room with a balcony. From what we can see, blocks 2 and 3 both have back rooms that look over the street. We stayed in one and it was fine but a balcony would have been welcomed in the evening. The breakfast was good with a variety of food and the service is really friendly. The pool is quite big, and by mid-afternoon it is almost the temperature of a tepid bath. All in all, a great experience and everyone was really kind and friendly.

Very smooth check in, reception staff were very helpful & courteous.
Room was absolutely lovely, good layout, very clean & great view of the pool.
Bed was so very comfy, pillows great & shower pressure good.
Daily cleaning, fresh towels & free bottled water was a lovely touch.
Our room was ground floor, right by the pool which was good but could be a little noisy early morning with staff in & around.
The pool is cleaned daily. It was definitely a relaxing environment, no reserved beds like some places.
All in all we will be back to stay here as we really enjoyed our stay & the relaxing ambience.

I will be writing a letter and sending it to your Complaint’s Department. No hot water for 5 days, low toilet pressure, stained towels..

Overall it was a very pleasant stay.
The pool is nice and clean. The food is quite good and if you ask they can provide western style food (if you paid for half-board meals). However, the evening meal is from 8.0 pm to 10.0 pm. This is quite late for most western people because by the time you have finished your meal, most of the live music in the nearby bars and restaurants are ending at 11.0 pm.
The gym needs a major revamp and modernization. There is no exercise static bike and the running machine is quite dangerous and needs a major service immediately. It stops and starts as you are running, as though it loses power then suddenly goes back up to speed.
A major problem is the fact there are NO net curtains in the bedroom! When you open the curtains in the morning (especially room 204 - next to the pool), everybody can simply look in. There are net curtains in the front room.
The bathroom is dated and needs upgrading. The furniture is also dated and needs upgrading.
There are no sink plugs for the bathroom sink but the hotel did provide a big plastic bucket so that we could wash our gym clothes daily.
My other complaint is the staff (pool man and ground staff) chit chatting at 7.00 am in the morning outside the rooms. They don't whisper and do not realise how loud they are. At night 11.30 pm other guests are outside walking up and down talking on mobile phones or having really loud conversations sat near the pool. Reception staff should intervene at that time of night.

The staff were all so nice, really helpful and quick to respond with any questions or issues.
Overall we had a good stay here.

The staff was so attentive to all our needs and nothing was too much. A very big thank you to Ariup. Always smiling and going out of his to make sure our meals were served to exactly how we wanted to be served. He gave every guest his personal attention and making them feel special .

This was a great place to stay. We had the private villa which has a shared pool with another villa and we also had a standard room for two of us before the rest of the group arrived. Both were great! Every member of staff is really knowledgable, attentive and accommodating and rooms are very clean. The location is ideal for easy beach access (via hotel path which is quick but not super clear/ easy to cross or public streets which are fine ), it’s also really easy to get to other parts of Goa via Taxi which the reception staff were always helpful with. Pool area is also fantastic. Would definitely stay again!

It is relatively quite and peaceful and definitely better than similar priced hotels.

Excellent experience. Staff were what made this hotel fantastic, they really went out of their way to help guests and offered us extra help with several items. The grounds were extremely clean & quiet and felt safe with guards at both gates. Rooms were very clean. Best hot water I've ever experienced in India. The restaurant staff were also very helpful and friendly, however, I would recommend they add a few more healthy options and vegan options to the menu. Overall, highly recommended, we thoroughly enjoyed the stay, & I'd gladly return.

Its very nicely placed property . Its close to the beach and also far from the hustle bustle .
The cleanliness is very high . The food is too good too .
