The location was great, very close to where wild horse play around.
The laundry room is very dirty. Without private car a bit hard to reach.
Nice hotel just a walk away of the forest. Friendly staff and good food.
We book a table for dinner at 7pm, and we had to wait 25min for food. The place didn't look particularly busyat tge time and wasn't high season either. Food was lovely once it arrived.
Cooked breakfast was fine. Some of the evening menu could not be fulfilled.
Radiator in room need bleeding, TVs need to be bigger.
The short beef was nice however could have had a little more than a tablespoon of mash potatoes for £25
Where do I begin, the staff were rude and very unwelcoming we were made to feel uncomfortable and out of “place” so to speak. Radiators didn’t work gave us a blow heater which isn’t the best as it’s dry heat makes your nose stuffy if breathed in all night. Oh and if you wanted a hot shower make sure to get it first thing in the morning as the water is lukewarm warm at night. Overall was we were disappointed as we went off other people reviews, all the reviews seemed like it was a a lovely family orientated place to be, we quite clearly weren’t welcome.
Very pleasant traditional hotel . Friendly efficient local staff , excellent dinner and breakfast .
A nice location
Cold room with no heating on when it was 9 deg C outside. TV pointer not working properly. Kettle burst into flames when used (was it ever PAT tested?) and no offer of a new kettle or coffee by receptionist.
The hotel was lovely, it was set in beautiful grounds, the food in the restaurant was great and reasonably priced, the staff were really helpful and friendly, my room was comfortable with all I needed.
The room maybe could have benefited from a few more plug sockets or extension cords, but that's just me being picky.
The range of options at breakfast is exceptional and all such are well presented with individual preferences catered for. One minor consideration would be for a cheaper option for a small scale breakfast - £15 seems a lot for a bowl of cereal and piece of toast.
Everything was perfect. Fantastic Hotel.
Location excellent plenty of parking, staff extremely friendly and efficient
Mattress was extremely uncomfortable and children upstairs stomping around made it very noisy
Lovely comfortable bed, staff lovely, especially the older lady who dealt with us at breakfast,
Ideal location, lovely staff, hotel in need of a little tlc, room not made up in the time we were there, when we queried why, we were told cleaner couldn't get in, as only one key to the room! Sat/Sun breakfast was ok, Mon was over cooked and service slow, a pity as we were the only two having breakfast.
Good location.food good but needed more variation.
The shower had no pressure and dribbled out running hot and cold. No basin chain and light bulb had gone in the bathroom mirror.
Pleasant staff and lovely grounds
Lots of creaking noise from stairs and room above. Suspect this is an old building
