The receptionist was very polite and helpful and evening meal was reasonably priced and tasty.
Nice garden (shame about poo bags and furniture)
Bed sheets covered in cat ? hair, tea stains splattered over bedside table, stained mugs in room and fluff around pipes in the bathroom.
Was upgraded only to find more hairs in the new bed and hairs on bathroom floor!!
A lovely garden but the dog poo bin in garden was overflowing which was so unpleasant.
Nice balcony but artificial grass on floor!
Garden nice but had mis-matched tables and chairs left untidily around. Just looked so unkempt.
Such a shame as many things were clearly overlooked and this hotel could be perfect. Left me really disappointed.
I did not have breakfast.
The location is excellent, you can walk straight onto the forest.
We had a baby and dog with us so the small fridge was a bonus
A coffee machine would be good. Great parking.
The place could do with a bit of a deep clean but not to spoil the quaintness. The bed was very comfy and lovely big white towels.
We enjoyed our stay and would come back
The surrounding area was lovely and the staff we met were very polite.
The shower.. took about 10 minutes for hot water to come out and the glass door was very mouldy at the bottom. (Room 6)
The bed was very creaky, every time you rolled over would make a lot of noise.
Could do with more milks being in the room.
Lovely location. Nice big family room with adjoining door in the middle. Staff seemed very lovely and polite. Great views and walk behind the hotel with horses roaming. Small park for the kids
The description said 1 double bed and 2 sofa beds. However we got only got one sofa bed. Luckily it was only for one night stay.
The room was comfortable and amenities were provided - tea and coffee, heater for when it got cold at night, etc. The hotel is in a good location (we biked from the station) and the gardens and outdoor seating areas are very pretty. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Location is excellent! Close to everything that the New Forest has to offer and direct access into the New Forest is fantastic!
I understand that people like to bring their dogs and it’s a dog friendly hotel but I would suggest that they allocate certain rooms for that- and keep a certain amount dog free. Our room was of a great size and comfortable but there was dog hair on all the bed linen and on the carpet. Not ideal if you have an allergy to dog hair (as someone who does)- hotel needs to consider this.
Peaceful, comfortable bed, friendly staff
Beautiful area
Nothing
Lovely place, excellent location and even better staff
Fabulous family room. Really spacious with private bedroom for adults. Staff were so friendly and made a fuss of my wife on her birthday.
Mattress in family room bedroom a bit softer than we like.
Friendly Staff and Amazing Food
Rooms were very hot for April
Great place to stay, friendly staff, comfortable room with good tea and coffee making facilities, big bathroom with decent shower, great towels, and in a quiet area with loads of parking. It’s also possible to park motorcycles in the overflow parking out of view of the road. Great coffee with breakfast. Yoghurt also very nice. Breakfast available at £15pp.
Breakfast wasn’t as good as usual (compared to our previous stays here). Poached eggs hard / over cooked, a light coloured hair on my muffin, and muffin was tough so left it. I seem to remember the self service area having a little more to offer previously (like fruit salad, but could be wrong), but some apples and bananas there which was good.
Fab staff, lovely fellow guests with dog friendly environment. Location great. Room size good.
Family room - cot bed was really really small and squeaky - shower pressure not great - bath tap on its last legs - windows!
The location was great, very close to where wild horse play around.
The laundry room is very dirty. Without private car a bit hard to reach.
Nice hotel just a walk away of the forest. Friendly staff and good food.
We book a table for dinner at 7pm, and we had to wait 25min for food. The place didn't look particularly busyat tge time and wasn't high season either. Food was lovely once it arrived.
