Vi har bott på hotellet varje år i 7 år och alltid varit nöjda. Egentligen även nu men vi noterar ett gradvis ökande behov av renovering av rummen och även de publika ytorna. Dessutom märker man som hundägare att möjligheterna att välja rum och att äta middag minimeras. Att bara erbjuda ett enda bord (för 2 personer) är undermåligt. När det är 13 grader ute är erbjudandet att äta utomhus otillräckligt. Om man vill behålla gäster med hund måste ägarna tänka om. Till exempel allokera en av de många salongerna för middag för resande med hund. Det finns pengar att tjäna för ägarna men finns viljan att ändra attityd?

Amazing castle, wonderful rooms and interior. Superb breakfast and nice dinner.
Unusual yet a pleasantly surprising property for an overnight stay whilst driving to the Algarve. Peaceful, picturesque location only a short detour from the main autoroutes. Great breakfast choice.
Will book ahead next time & get a room with windows you can see out of rather than in the dungeon! but quirky nonetheless.

Les logements dans les douves n ont ni Wifi, ni réseau internet ( murs trop épais ). À savoir quand vous réservez . Mais cela peut être aussi le moyen de déconnecter juste une nuit !
Hele ervaring om in een echt kasteel te slapen. De inrichting is nog echt origineel. Met alle voorzieningen (bar, restaurant, ontbijt) Het was heelaas nog te slecht weer om gebruik te maken van het zwembad (dat was dicht). Prachtig hotel!

Breakfast was very nice. Good choice. Nice place to stay, it's our 3rd time. The staff is lovely, and the rooms are excellent. The best way to describe this place is a tranquil and Beautiful setting and very historic. We will be back, most definitely.

Authentic atmosphere of the castle itself
Restaurant service was super slow - despite there being 3 couples in the restaurant we waited 15 minutes to be noticed and staff generally on the evening of our arrival didn’t seem too happy.
