Very central location, dry close to restaurants and bars. Hotel was very clean and staff were very friendly.

It was lovely, a small room but cosy and in keeping with a stay at York. Excellent location with everything on the doorstep, great breakfast too.
The room was clean and comfortable. The location was good to access shops and anything needed, peaceful on a night which is an added bonus.
The only downfall was the smell of fish and that housekeeping comes in the room while you are out without your knowledge.
Central location - right in the heart of the city with really helpful and friendly staff. Small double on first floor at rear of building, with high ceiling and large shower exceeded our expectations, as did the generous cooked breakfasts.
Nothing to dislike - some minor scrapes to the decor just made it feel more homely. Loved everything.

The hotel is situated right in the centre of York. Lovely hotel.The room was very nicely decorated .the bed was so comfy. The breakfast options were superb and I liked that they served breakfast till 11am .

Small bathroom.
Staff were lovely and swapped my room when the one I was put in was cold and I couldn't work the radiators. Excellent location. Good freshly prepared breakfast. Excellent toiletries and drink options in the rooms.
The carpets and some of the walls were more battered and worn than expected. No lobby area to sit in, only tables in the restaurant. Challenging heating systems in some rooms. Our room also had a cracked sun light and a permanently condensed window.

To much light in the room at night. Due to a light on out side the property only a roller blind in room. May need a curtain in room To block out this light.
