Radio Hotel

Staff were helpful and professional. Room looks nothing like in the photos -- or perhaps it did 20 years ago. Outdated, poor condition and poorly maintained. Only a drizzle of water from the shower; one of the sink taps not working; uncomfortable bed; shutters barely open; window rattles. I'd intended to take breakfast, but didn't trust it on seeing the condition of the room.

The cleanliness, the service and the nicest niceness of it all makes up for the somewhat not so nice neighborhood, but having said that one is very close to all modes of transportation, so I will return on my next trip to Rome

There is not airport shuttle availability any more. Buy the train station is like 5 minutes away. The staff super nice and the rooms are comfortable and clean!

The water pressure was very low and only sometimes got hot water. Also, the building is outdated, and was very weird to get into the building. You have to buzz into the “apartment” building then take an elevator up to the 7th floor. Also, hard to sleep because it’s so noisy, lots of honking on the street, construction, sounded like the window was open but it wasn’t. However, the location was good because it was close to the bus stop and train station.

Positive : good location, welcoming staff, clean room

Negative : noisy cleaning staff in the morning, difficult to sleep after 8am, the shower was not working properly. You had to press a button continuously for the shower head to spray water. The shower drain does not empty properly and the air freshener does not smell very good.

Good area, only issues we had are with the facilities. The showers are very small and the water was either really hot or really cold. There was also no air conditioning anywhere in the building aside for the lobby

Our room had some areas of disrepair. The shower was leaking, wall trim around the bathroom door was coming off, and the toilet flush did not work properly. The Expedia description of this hotel says that there is AC, but you only get AC in your room if the exact room you book indicates that AC is included, otherwise they remove the remote from the room to control the AC. It was extremely hot while we were there. Even with the window open, we could not get comfortable. When I asked about the AC situation, the desk clerk was unable to tell if we were “supposed “ to have AC or not. They did ultimately give it us, but he said it usually costs an additional €8/night. This should be clarified on the hotel listing and AC should be an option that you can add when booking rather than being hit with this on arrival. The final and worst issue is that on our final night, I found a bed bug on my daughter while she was sleeping. I did not visibly see any others, but we did have some unexplained bug bites on our legs. Another reviewer noted this as well but I did not see it before our stay.

It was less expensive so i probably got what i paid for...

I got charged €3 for a small bowl of cereal and a small cup of coffee for a machine. The walls are thin, barely any of the power outlets work and window shutters were jammed. BUT, there’s a brilliant restaurant nearby and it’s not a bad place if you’re out most of the time

Staff was excellent and very helpful but Rooms were below average and terrible bathrooms.

This Rooms are a good option for people that only need a room to spend a night and are on the go next day. It is not a good option for families. I also didn’t like the noisy. You can literally hear all the cars and people outside on the street. The AC made a horrible noise. I honestly couldn’t sleep two nights and end up checking out a day before.

Stayed in a Deluxe room with a balcony and private bathroom and it met our needs. Service was excellent , place was clean and it was easy to get into the city via bus or train which were in very close proximity.

The hotel is in a residential building on the 7th and 8th floor , we couldn’t even find the entrance , in the lobby a City Note to be aware of roaches and mice , elevator super tiny , very old building , we wanted to leave from there as soon as we arrive 😵‍💫

Excellent stay whilst in Rome - from great service (someone always on desk 24/7) to spacious and clean room with en suite bathroom. Excellent amenities - lots of places to eat within walking distance, public transport on doorstep and not too far from tourist attractions.

Good value overall. Only couple minor downsides - bathroom lock not working and shower thermostat was temperamental.

The add was totally irrelevant of what we experienced there. Total disappointment. I’m so shocked that Expedia was not informed about this fact properly.

Es sencilla pero conveniente, no está tan cerca del centro histórico pero las opciones de transporte son veriadas. Un barrio tranquilo con muchos servicios cercanos.

It was old and moldy, there was black mold in the bathroom, the antiquated elevator was small and slow.
