Hikkaduwa Beach Hotel - Special Summer Rates 1 May - 31 Oct 2026!

Отель находиться в затяжной ремонте, несколько номеров обновили и туда заселяют, людей не много. На завтрак очень маленький выбор. В бассейне пахнет мусоркой, которая расположена рядом. Ресторана/бара в отеле нет. Ужасная система сейфа в комнате рецепшена с 2-мя ключами и столетними ящиками... В номере муравьи, от которых невозможно избавиться. Уборка так себе, шампунь/гель для душа в дозаторе рядом с душем, пользоваться не удобно. Очень слабый напор воды.

L'hotel ne correspond pas du tout aux photos de booking..
L'hotel manque cruellement d'entretien, il est très vieillissant.
La chambre sentait l'humidité et le lit etait tout petit (140cm)
Pour le petit déjeuner, tout etait froid, le dhall, les curry, les saucisses...
Vraiment dommage car l'hotel est bien situé
Ça ne vaut clairement pas le prix meme avec la réduction.

The room is neat and clean.but there are no doormats inside the room specially bathroom area.

Staff inexperienced, lacked the Sri lankan charm and attentiveness all the other properties we stayed in. Not helpful, no good mornings just brush past u when your in the hotel. No information given on check in, no upsells etc. Not great

Le personnel voulais me faire payer les 2h d'avance malgré que je les avais averti par mail (sans repocde leur part) de 3000 roupilles, l'hôtel commence à être vétuste et durant mon séjour il y avait des travaux, sinon j'ai vu pire

The room did not match photos, was very small, bathroom was very dirty and smelt bad. Hot water didn’t work and the PowerPoints didn’t work near the bed

Jeg skal være ærlig og si at vi fant et annet hotell. Bildene på Booking.com forteller dessverre ikke hvordan hotellet er. Vi var to par på tur og hadde sett de flotte bildene som lå ute på nett. Dessverre stemte ikke dette med virkeligheten. Resepsjonsområdet var nedslitt og stranden utenfor hotellet var ikke til å kjenne igjen på bildene som lå ute. Bildene viser flott basseng flotte solsenger - dessverre var det veldig få senger og hele uteområdet virket nedslitt og til dels forfallent.

The scruffy staff…the receptionist looked like she had just finished her housework. She was certainly not in the least bit welcoming. We were delayed arriving, by about 8 hours, through no fault of ours, but Emirates Airways, so we were very tired, but excited to reach our destination. (I had notified the hotel about our late arrival being about 20:00 hours, instead of the planned time 12:00 lunchtime….)
There was insufficient number of sun beds to the guests staying there, and when we looked out from our balcony at about 7:00 am, next morning, they were already covered with towels!!
Both bedside lamps did not work, and were covered in dust ( other people’s dead skin !!) the room and bathroom looked really unkempt, and not at all like the pictures on line!! The windows desperately needed cleaning, and the blinds cleaned or thrown away and replaced with new ones. We were told there was a small fridge, there was not! All in all, the whole hotel should have been renewed years ago, and the staff trained to be welcoming and at least polite.
We would certainly not recommend this hotel as it stands right now, a super, prime position in the best family area around.
We went in for breakfast next morning, which was supposedly buffet style, but was also very un inviting, and not hosted by friendly staff. I felt we were in the way, not wanted. We were then approached by a member of staff to say we had to pay for this pathetic breakfast …7000LKR. We paid, very reluctantly, and said we would not be staying here. So much more I could say, but this hotel is certainly not worth the cost, or the effort it would take me to put into writing what it really needs.
