Gunbaru Inn

Amazing place to stay! Guest experience is truly at the heart of everything at Gunbaru. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we felt super well looked after by the amazing people at Gunbaru - nothing is too much trouble. The trips they can organise, especially snorkelling, are exceptional, and very good value. We swam with mantas, sharks, dolphins, turtles and an abundance of tropical fish. We also saw turtles 5 times at the edge of the reef right off Gunbaru beach (around 4pm seems to be a good time to catch them). Ukulhas has a fantastic house reef, and you can lose yourself for hours on the lush beaches or swimming in the warm water. Awesome breakfast and food available at Gunbaru. Whole place spotlessly clean. Great attention to detail at this wonderful family run guesthouse. I'd recommend it to anyone on a budget wanting a top value trip to the Maldives.

Sam and his 2 helpers are very nice. It’s a comfortable guesthouse near the bikini beach. There are 11 rooms in the guesthouse.

The staff was very friendly and satisfied all our requests. They received us at the jetty and brought our luggage to the hotel. The excursions they provided were well planned and they provided extra personal help when we went out snoorkling during manta ray safari as well as when we went out fishing. On the negative side, the room we got did not have any windows looking out and lighting in the room was not sufficient.

E' stata un'esperienza positiva, siamo stati assistiti in qualsiasi esigenza .
La stanza era perfetta e la pulizia anche.
La struttura organizza escursioni .
E' vicinissima alla spiaggia , ci sono a disposizioni lettini e ombrelloni ( a deire in vero non sono molti ma credo si stiano organizzando ) , I teli mare ci sono stati forniti dalla struttura .

The accomodation had everything we needed, was very clean and a minutes walk from the beautiful, clean beach. Purna, our very helpful and efficient host went out of his way to ensure all our needs were met, from providing daily breakfast in the garden to helping us organise activities. All the islands restraunts were in easy walking distance. Highly recommend Gunbaru Inn.

Après un acceuil des plus chaleureux, on nous a conduit à notre chambre ou une surprise nous attendait ( un lit magnifique spécial voyage de noce )
. L’hotel est a 20 mètres de la plage... un délice... le rapport qualitée/prix est exceptionnel... les repas sont simples et bons et vraiment pas cher par rapport à d’autres hotels qui vous assassine sur la question.
Mention spécial à Shakeeb notre guide durant nos activitées , ce Monsieur est génial et nous transmet son amour des maldives.
Attention ce n’est pas un hotel haut de gamme avec piscine inutile ou autres , ici vous choisissez d’etre immergé dans la culture du pays pour en découvrir ses secrets... voyage de noce magique et ultra dépaysant. Merci à chaque personne ayant pris le temps de parler avec nous malgré nos difficultées en anglais. 5 étoiles dans nos coeurs... des rêves de gosse réalisés... des souvenirs pleins la tete... voila ce qui vous attend ici... ❤️
Ps: Prevoyez du liquide , pas de banque sur l’ile et les activitées sont à payer en espèce...

E' stata la nostra prima volta alle Maldive, non avevamo aspettative perchè eravamo alla ricerca di un atollo lontano dai mega "impersonali resort" e ci siamo fidati delle recensioni. Dopo settimane di ricerca abbiamo scelto Gunbaru Inn e ne siamo felici! Il personale è super qualificato, cortese, disponibile e sorridente oltre che gentile. L'hotel ha una ottima posizione, la spiaggia privata non ha sicuramente la spiaggia migliore dell'isola ma per fortuna le spiagge sono libere e si può trovare lo spot che si desidera. Essere andati in bassa stagione ci ha certamente aiutato a trovare pochi turisti ma anche a trovare un periodo solare stupendo. Si può mangiare sia in hotel che al Ristorante convenzionato e ci siamo trovati bene! Inaspettatamente (giuro non abbiamo mangiato pasta all'estero prima d'ora) abbiamo fatto mangiare delle buone pennette al sugo di pomodoro per il nostro bambino e ci hanno salvato perchè essendo vegetariano non è sempre facile mangiare fuori. Insomma, Shukria guys, thank you for everything it was a great holiday. Hope to see you next season! Grazie

Una struttura a cui non manca niente per farti sentire in vacanza e allo stesso tempo a casa!
Personale socievole e molto disponibile in un contesto sociale che porta ad una crescita interiore! L'albergo sempre pulito e molto tranquillo per una vacanza davvero rilassante soprattuto per famiglie con bambini! Ci tornerei anche domani!

Queque part, entre tout les avantages d'une pension mais sans aucun des inconvénients d'un hôtel, nous avons heureusement découvert le Gunbaru Inn & sa chaleureuse équipe.
Pour une phase de véritable "farniente" au paradis agencé de fonds marins émerveillants & des plages vierges de touristes, le Gunbaru Inn est "le" bon plan caché des Maldives!

Luckily, somewhere between all the advantages of a guesthouse & none of the inconveniences of a hotel/resort, we discovered the Gunbaru Inn & its genuinely friendly yet unintrusive staff.
For a laid back session of "chilling" in paradise topped with breathtaking snorkeling & tourist free beaches, in the Maldives the Gunbaru's where it's at!

Ho trascorso una settimana con mia mamma in questa piccola ed accogliente guest house a due passi dal mare ed è stato tutto semplicemente perfetto.
L'ambiente era esattamente come ce l'aspettavamo: la camera era ampia e spaziosa, perfettamente pulita e dotata di ogni confort (tra cui frigo, bollitore e tv) e si affacciava su un piccolo giardino curato nei minimi dettagli.
Bella anche la possibilità di scegliere se consumare i pasti in giardino oppure direttamente al ristorante convenzionato con l'albergo, facendo prenotare prima agli ospiti le portate da consumare ed anche l'orario in cui pranzare/cenare al fine di evitare inutili attese.
Ma ciò che poi ha fatto veramente la differenza è stato il personale dell'hotel: gentile, disponibile, preparato, sempre con il sorriso sulle labbra e sempre pronto a soddisfare ogni tua esigenza e/o richiesta nonché a renderti la vacanza unica e speciale.
Fin dal primo giorno siamo state accolte come se fossimo state a casa e come se lo staff ci conoscesse da una vita ed è stato così sino alla fine della vacanza.
Grazie a Farouk, a Sanjaya che ci ha coccolate e tenuto compagnia alla sera e soprattutto grazie a Sakib che con la passione che lo caratterizza ci ha fatto vedere ogni angolo dell'isola, ci ha portato in posti unici e paradisiaci e ci ha fatto amare ancora di più le Maldive ed i suoi meravigliosi abitanti dal cuore d'oro.

Ho soggiornato in questa struttura per due settimane, camera sempre pulita,staff sempre cordiale e super disponibile,peccato che ti fanno prendere paura con i prezzi delle escursioni sempre più tasse;invece alla fine ti ritrovi con una piacevole sorpresa no tasse,sapendo prima avrei fatto ancora un due escursioni volentieri,ci tornerei volentieri!Un grazie speciale a Ramdie , un ragazzo dello staff veramente speciale

Все хорошо, только слишком большая слышимость в номерах. хорошо, что гостей было немного. Мы даже переехали в номер хуже оплаченного. Только чтобы не слышать рев водяного насоса, когда он включается. Персонал отличный. всегда помогают. И огромный плюс этого отеля - расположен в отдалении от парка. Поэтому В НЕМ НЕТ МОСКИТОВ!). Чисто. Встретили и проводили как родных. Заселили быстро. При отъезде подарили сувенирчики. Очень приятное место!

Stayed there 4 nights. Awesome long beach and perfect corals for snorkeling only few steps from the guesthouse!! Good food and nice clean rooms. Excursions too expensive for budget traveller.

siamo stati benissimo!! il personale è molto accogliente , le stanze confortevoli semplice ma con tutti i confort ! un pò il cibo lasciava a desiderare ma bisogna pensare che siamo all'estero e noi Italiani siamo viziati!! un mare incantevole e la spiaggia paradisiaca ! ci tornerei subito!

Abbiamo,soggiornato,per 8 Giorni,in questa guest house,tra novembre e dicembre 2015,io e mia moglie insieme a parenti e amici,abbiamo occupato tre camere complessivamente,a parte l'iniziale mancato prelevamento all'aeroporto da parte dello staff come pattuito,e concordato preventivamente,ma si sono scusati umilmente regalandoci una escursione facendoci fare il bagno in mare insieme alle mante,e snorkling vicino alla barriera corallina siamo stati divinamente,il personale dello staff e'cordialissimo,e sempre pronto e' attento a soddisfare,le esigenze degli ospiti,e soprattutto sempre sorridenti,la struttura e'molto semplice ma pulita' ed essenziale possiede tutte le comodita' per poter soggiornare,cassaforte,climatizzata,piccolo frigo,wc,giardino e'soprattutto attaccata alla spiaggia solitaria bellissima attrezzata di lettini e ombrellone si mangia discretamente,considerando che noi siamo italiani e' siamo molto attenti al cibo.Ve la consiglio vivamente vi troverete molto bene.Alla fine abbiamo ricevuto un bellissimo ricordo da parte dello staff,un caloroso abbraccio a tutti i ragazzi dello staff e al responsabile dello staff Shakeeb. e Waheed Imad.

THE GUNBARU INN WAS A VERY COMFORTABLE CHEAP HOTEL TO STAY IN BY MALDIVE STANDARDS AND CLOSE TO A NICE BEACH + OPPOSITE A PHARMACY.
IT SERVED A GOOD BREAKFAST AND THE ROOM WAS ALWAYS WELL SUPPLIED WITH MUCH NEEDED TWO BOTTLES OF WATER A DAY A LOVELY SATALITE T.V SERVICE.
THE MANAGER AND HIS TWO CO-WORKERS WERE VERY FREINDLY AND HELPFUL AND ARRANGED GOOD SIMPLE ISLAND HOPPING EXCURTIONS FOR ME + NIGHT FISHING AND ABOVE ALL VISTING AND DINING AT A NEIGHBORING FAMILY HOME.
