Old fashioned charm
Pros:

I stayed here during the Paralympics. This historic hotel is really charming with its olde-worlde furnishings, woodwork and attentive staff. Do not expect a modern hotel, except for the lift. It is in a great location right by the terminus for the coach to Venice, on the Corso Italia. My single room on the 4th floor was bright and spacious with the most magnificent view over the mountains. There was ample storage, a safe, a fridge (containing water to buy), slippers and an umbrella. On the bed there were two duvets, one of which I had to remove as the room was very warm, luckily the window opened. There were no curtains so you could always take full advantage of the view. The bathroom contained a bath with shower and no curtain. The English TV channels didn’t work as there was no internet signal available. There was also no kettle and only one power point I could use which was in the bathroom. I wasn’t aware of the bar being noisy. There was an ample choice of food at the buffet breakfast (I noticed some gf offerings). The breakfast room also has views. To get the wifi its best to get the code from reception. One morning I was woken by buses arriving outside. The bar serves snacks at lunchtime and I enjoyed sitting on the front terrace in the sun. I would recommend booking half board as this includes three dishes from the main menu. It is possible to leave your luggage.

Magical winter wonderland stay during Winter Olympics .
Pros:

Great central location for winter Olympics . Great on site tavern with eats n cocktails . Knowledgeable staff to aid in logistics of the different Olympic events location and transportation . Breakfast was amazing !

Oldfashioned in the best way
Pros:

This is a very genuine and traditional alp hotel within the higher range.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms comfortable and in an older style in terms of wooden details and patterned fabrics. Very centrally located in the mid of Cortina with waling distance to most things you could possibly need during your ski trip.

Exceptional service
Pros:

Did not stay at the hotel but rather took multiple meals, drinks and coffee there. The Olympic hospitality hosts provided exceptional information and service as well. We will definitely return.

Stay far away if you care about sleep
Pros:

If you want to be at a hotel that is on top of a night club and has Euro techno music blasting at the highest volume until midnight, then this is your place. If you want to sleep steer clear. I don’t see how they expect people who pay for rooms to tolerate this.

Staff is wonderful and location great.

Bathroom is ancient and rooms are small.

All that would be forgivable if the baseline of a good night sleep was something the wanted to provide. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

Don’t eat there.
Pros:

We went for the Christmas dinner which was offered as a setup menu.

The food was below average and the service experience was literally very bad.

It all started with a disorganized food delivery where all waiters were running like chickens, to deliver the plates to all tables at the same time and the food arrived merely warm.

The price did not match with the overall quality either but the worst was a shocking situation when I requested to one of the waiters to take out of our table the seafood plate we just finished since the shells leftovers were very messy and smelly - when looking me at the eyes he responded with a big - NO ! And he walked away.

The man was not very tall wearing glasses. Very rude and unacceptable.

Will never go back.

Cortina Ski Trip
Pros:

We loved Hotel de la Poste! It was a very good experience and we will come back. The staff were exceptionally helpful, the room was perfect, and the hotel was in a very good, central location.
