Ostello Bello Mandalay

My money was taken without any services rendered. I didn't travel to the country or stay at the property, but still, my payment was processed. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue via phone and message, I've been met with silence. Now, I'm sharing my experience publicly, and I expect a response.

Great location, staff were very helpful and attentive, rooms were clean and comfy!

Stayed in a private room which was clean and well-sized, and the ensuite was also sizeable. Staff were lovely and the hostel also serves food. Common showers are available for use after check-out which is a bonus. Can walk to several restaurants from the hostel. Would stay again.

The food was ok, but expensive with tiny portions. The AC didn’t work anywhere and the rooms were hot boxes which made it difficult to sleep well and I felt miserable. I wouldn’t recommend this hostel. They’re building a Baoba Bed soon in the city which will be better.

Great hotel, very friendly. Good cafe downstairs and bar on the roof and travel desk for various tours around Mandalay. Also some social activities on different days of the week.

Awesome hostel, cool that they have a travel desk for trips and advise. Cafe is pretty good and lots of activities.

Great hostel,lots of facilities and extras,great travel desk,definitely recommend the 3 ancient cities tour. Fab rooftop with nightly events and good happy hour for cocktails. Food really fantastic. WiFi and aircon also worked well. I had a from to myself the first 3 nights,only on the 4th night were there others in the room and noticed some of the bunks a bit squeaky. The mattresses were foam and a bit narrow but that’s not uncommon in Myanmar. It was also a sheet and blanket to sleep with whereas I’m more of a duvet girl but that’s just personal preference.

It was an old hotel converted to a hostel. Stayed in a private ensuite room. Breakfast was basic but good enough. Location was good.

Had a great short stay! All meat pizza and chicken fried noodles were soooooo good. Our private double room was in really good condition!

I love everything! Nice place to meet other solo travelers, book tours and have fun around Mandalay!

This hostel is very clean. Good hot shower, breakfast and chap

Good atmosphere. Helpful staff. Food and drinks prices not set for budget travellers, but water, tea and coffee are free - as is breakfast.
I didn't like Mandalay, though- it's not suited to pedestrian tourism (you need taxis and journey time to see the sites).

Staff is always full of smiles and eager to help. The area around the hostel is kinda drab and the taxi stalk you at the front door. The wifi is a little slow in the rooms. Towels and soap are provided. The pillows are too firm and the beds squeak. Over all good hostel.

Personally think it's overpriced for what you get but then accommodation seems expensive in Myanmar.

Location was OK. Noise travels through the hotel when people outside.

Good rooftop.

Probably wouldn't stay there again
