Palmetto was the perfect hotel for our quick 2 night trip to the beach

Love this place!

Supposed to be renovated but had went down bad.

The location is good, close to Pier Park and it's beachfront.

Cons:

Rooms on website look renovated and my room was old, dirty, rust in spots, roaches, dirty sheets, and no matching cookware and dishes. They've removed the privacy doors that separated the rooms. Only one elevator works so it was long waits for that. No continental breakfast available anymore. Tiki bar close at 6pm now and they stop offering the $10 game credits at rich it lanes. I had to remake the beds and sweep the floor and wipe everything down.

Room was dirty, sheets needed swapped as there was a blood stain, front door lock malfunctioned (I guess?) and opened in the middle of the night, and back door handle dint read ID cards.

We enjoyed our visit. There was no loud music or people gathered around making obscene comments.

No complaints. Great Stay for one night! Next time I will deal directly with property.

Bad storm forecasted for check-in time. I desired to (in advance)reschedule check in to the next day. Checked with Palmetto and Booking.com. It was allowed but with additional charges.

Good value, this will be another place to stay in the future.
Pros:

The room was spacious, clean and the appliances were regular size which is better than most places. Plenty of room to sit and a table to eat along with a desk with chair.

Cons:

While the room was ocean front the view was distorted on the first floor by fence line and the people walking in front of our window was distracting. I will request a second or higher floor next time. I had to ask the front desk for coffee as there was not any in the room or bath soap. The T.V. screen could be larger.
