Dirty pillowcase, dirty cups and teaspoon and pubic hairs in the bath.
Window stuck shut, dirty black mould on mastic round the bath.
Outside tables filthy.
Lovely staff, perfect location.
Exceptional custoner service. I was there to celebrate my wedding. The staff could not do enough to ensure we had the best stay
Everything
Nothing to dislike
Central location.
I thought the quality of food was poor (for the prices).
Lovely hotel and staff very friendly.
Everything was good
Beautiful inside, the room we had felt calm and was very comfortable to stay in. There was a great choice at breakfast and food was fresh and tasty. Location was very good and great for a base to get to other places. Lovely historical building in the main hotel area very airy and interesting decor . I would like to mention Dave who was on reception when we checked in. He was courteous, helpful and gave us extra information when we needed it. He was approachable and it came across that he enjoys his job.
We had a evening meal and I have to be dairy free. I did not feel there was enough choices on the menu for my dietry needs . In fact I would say it was poor which was dissappointing as the breakfast was so good.
Lovely place to stay in Bakewell very central
Bed was a bit small for me in the cosy room more down to me being 6’2 room was small but nice only thing I would ask is they upgrade the small fan that was in the room up to a more modern cooling style fan
Friendly staff, clean rooms and good food and bar. Amazing location.
Mattress was too firm for my personal preference
Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful.
Not enough carparking spaces. My comment about the room not being quiet enough was nothing to do with the hotel. One of the guests had a new car and a group of his friends were making him rev the engine for fun - woke me up.
Beautiful Hotel right in the middle of Bakewell
Nothing
Excellently located in beautiful Bakewell. Staff are super. Dining room is lovely and breakfast was nice enough but certain things could be improved. (Poor quality yoghurts / not fresh bread)
Parts of the property and room we stayed in are beginning to look a little grubby. Our carpet was badly stained and the fabric around the top of the 4 poster bed badly needed washing. For the amount we paid, I must admit I expected more.
Location
Not knowing if you would have a car space left if you went out for the day

Parking on site and in the center of town.
Basically this is two hotels: one is what you see on the pictures and this one is a 3 star hotel with charm, the other is what we got because we reserved using booking.com. This second party of the hotel is across the street and looks like it is a converted stables. It matches the standard of a 1 star motel. Rooms are small and hot, windows open to a parking area and workshop and the street beyond. To get to breakfast you have to cross the street where cars are stopping around fast. Several times we felt that were going to hit us. All this for a pretty high price.
