This is a friendly hotel with very nice public spaces.
Pros:

The staff kindly assigned us a ground floor room. My partner is struggling with stairs so I am grateful. The breakfast room/restaurant has lovely high ceilings and the staff were gracious. It is a lovely way to start the day. In the afternoons and evenings the bar is friendly.

Cons:

We were in the annex across the street. The room was fine and was very quiet. Crossing streets in Bakewell as a pedestrian is hard work. Maybe the hotel could encourage the town to install a protected crossing.

Pros:

We had the BEST stay at this hotel in Bakewell – honestly couldn’t fault it.

The staff were so, so, so lovely – genuinely friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything. It really made such a difference to the whole experience.

The food was also incredible – both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious and such a highlight of our stay.

We loved everything about it and would 100% come back again. Highly recommend!
