Better alternatives for lodging elsewhere in VQS
Pros:

Location is very good. Beach chairs, coolers and beach towels are available. Good to have supplies to make coffee.

Cons:

Had stayed at Tortuga before. This time the unit’s floor was not clean, the bed is due for replacement as it is lumpy and uncomfortable, and there is noticeable lack of maintenance and upkeep.
When paying for a stay, a customer expects appliances that work (A/C, fridge, MW) and hot water.
Sarcastic and condescending treatment are also not appropriate.

Si volvemos a vieques sin duda volveríamos a este mismo sitio!
La habitación era más de lo que nos esperábamos!
Personal muy atento y amable!

Cons:

Tema limpieza.. no es el sitio más limpio del mundo. Pero por lo que vi.. era todo vieques igual! muy rural!

Cons:

On the day of check-in, I was advised by the landlord to cancel my stay at the hotel, and said that I could get a full refund by contacting booking. But I contacted booking that day and was told that I couldn't get a full refund. And no refund has been received within five days. Is this a black shop?

Pros:

Super cute guesthouse in a central location. We loved it. We were able to drive to amazing beaches, and walk from the guesthouse to our bio bay tour and to various places to eat, shop, drink, and dance. The place was absolutely charming, with everything we needed for a nice stay. We were even visited by a sweet feline friend.

Pros:

Great location just off of the main road.
Lovely owner who was quite welcoming and friendly.
Stayed in one of the casitas which was very cute and comfortable--lots of space and a little kitchenette.

Cons:

No significant cons other than price but that's more a complaint about Esperanza in general--found it to be on par with other guest houses in the area.

Pros:

Beautiful room and wonderful host! Property is in walking distance of a lot of the main bars and restaurants and food trucks of the Esperanza coats area. The property itself has a picturesque pool area. We can’t wait to come back!

Me pongo en contacto con ustedes para presentar una reclamación formal respecto a mi reciente estancia en el alojamiento reservado a través de su plataforma.

El apartamento, a pesar de su elevado precio, presentaba unas condiciones totalmente inaceptables. A nuestra llegada, comprobamos que estaba en un estado de suciedad extrema: las superficies estaban sucias, había cucarachas en las encimeras de la cocina, detrás de las camas y en varias zonas de la vivienda. En general, el nivel de limpieza era prácticamente inexistente, lo que hizo la experiencia no solo desagradable, sino también insalubre.

Quiero recalcar especialmente lo sucedido la primera noche: mientras dormíamos, una cucaracha llegó a subirse encima de uno de nosotros. Fue, sin duda, uno de los peores momentos de nuestras vidas y generó una sensación de enorme angustia y repulsión que condicionó por completo nuestra estancia.

Estas circunstancias distan mucho de los estándares mínimos que se esperan de un alojamiento anunciado en su plataforma, y han supuesto una grave decepción en relación con lo que se nos ofreció y lo que realmente encontramos.

Por todo lo expuesto, solicito una indemnización adecuada por los perjuicios sufridos durante nuestra estancia. Espero su respuesta a la mayor brevedad posible.
