HUALUXE Hotels & Resorts Nanchang High-Tech Zone, an IHG Hotel

Our Coach arrived at the entrance of this high scraper, there was no porters to assist us with our luggages. Concierge Desk has a notice to inform Reception is located on 39th Floor. Our Tour Leader helped take a trolley to carry all our Luggages .

Check in was a breeze at Reception .. Our room is 5111, large twin beds, with impressive decorations , fully set up with all necessary amenities. It offers a minibar, wardrobe,a safe deposit box and a Cable Channel TV, writing desk & a long settee sofa.

Buffet breakfast at Xianyan Restaurant on 39th Floor has lots of choices from local to western & Asian cuisines.
The food is good, restaurant is beautifully decorated overlooking the misty view of Gan River.

From the modern lobby on 39th floor where you get entertained by 2 parakeets, to the spacious well appointed rooms with good amenities, Hualuxe Nanchang Hightech Zone is worth recommending !!!

Extraordinary Hotel. The room was excellent and the bed extremely comfortable. The breakfast was awesome, with a wide range of fruits, bread, eggs, vegetables, pastas and natural juices.

I was checked in and upgraded to a suite at 4919 thanks to the spire membership. The one bedroom suite was spacious with nice toilets, big round bathtub that can sit 2. However the toilet lights were not working properly. I cannot off the toilet lights from the switches. Called for service, repair man is also having difficulty as the cables were in a spaghetti condition. We gave up eventually as it was pretty late. As he left, I tested the master toilet lights switch and manage to off it. However tv was not working at all now as seems like current was cut off during the brief repair.

I asked for a room change the next day and was relocated to 4719. This room was alright with only one issue. The powder room (aka mini toilet without showers) in the living room area was emiting bad smell from the drainage system. I suspected this as I saw a cup cover (yes they tried to cover the smell by a cup cover.. weird.. anyway it won’t work..) as I am only staying for 2 nites I am not going to shift anymore because of this. Just close the powder room door.

Breakfast was sumptuous with many Chinese style food.

Executive lounge was sparse without any alcohol or coffee. Only tea is available. The coffee machine in the executive lounge was for decorative purposes as it was not switched on. The executive lounge staff just told us there was no coffee available even though after I pointed at the Off coffee machine. Indeed the expensive coffee machine was for decoration purposes...

All in all, it was better to stay in classic crowne plaza in Nanchang than the newer hualuxe...

So far stayed in 2 hualuxe hotel in China, xiamen and Nanchang. Conclusion- seems like crowne plaza and intercontinental is much better than hualuxe which you may encounter lapse or haphazard service.

Experience is very good, staff is well trained and well professional, specially the food court is great. you can have great variety of food including Japanese, Chinese and continental food. This place is good for stay during business and person tour. The final statement is value for money.

The hotel has excellent room, spacious, comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, everything very clean and well decorated. This would be 5star rating
But service was poor. Very slow check in, very slow check out.
On evening, I had dinner in the hotel because of rain outside and choose the buffet. They open at 6 pm and I started dinner at that time. But all food was cold. No idea, when it was prepared and put on the plates, but definitely it was not fresh and therefore cold.
Overall a good hotel with great rooms and good location, but don't count on service, food and amenities.

The deluxe room is spacious. The room was clean and had no trace of cigarette smell. The decor in the room, a beautiful white tea set and an evergreen plant sitting next to a bathroom, is esthetic. The tea provided in room was very good.
The beautiful lobby on the 39th floor where delicious breakfast is served also has a view of the city. Excellent customer services.

The hotel is located at the 39th floor of a skyscraper. The rooms are well-appointed with good amenities. It is very new when I checked in in early 2018. No smell of smoke in the room which is hard to come by in China. Met western standards.

It was quite comfortable and clean. The first room the heater was not functioning but it was quickly remedied by moving us to a different room. Overall service was good.

Beautiful room but not much to do around hotel, however it was cold out. The hotel is very far from high speed train station. 120 rmb each way.

First time in Nanchang for a one night two day visit. Chose this hotel over Shangri-La (despite I am a fan) because the latter is quite dated.

The upgraded deluxe room is quite spacious. I like the plants with pebbles next to the bathroom sink. The tea set is also a nice feature for me to enjoy a cup of tea tonight after dinner.

Bed is a bit too soft for me. Too much padding beneath....

Convenient sockets next to bed is a big plus.

Location is to the east of town center, which is only a few kms away. So no big deal.

For dinner, plan to try out roast lamb (apparently famous here) then explore the night market just to get a feel of the local culture.

Tips: Hotel ordered car was RMB400 (van) from airport. If you have local car booking app, it’s under RMB200 for a Passat/Toyota sedan.

The decor of my room and the restaurant , the river view are surprisingly good. As a new brand of ihg, it's impressive.

Of course, there's room for improvement. The sauna room was poorly managed and very disappointing . There was only one towel for a guest to use and the shampoo and shower gel boxes inside the bathrooms were mostly empty.

There was also cigarette ash inside my room when I checked in, but the staff came immediately and cleaned up my room after I complained.

Breakfast was very good for a hotel charging this amount and the restaurant manageress was very professional, taking customers' advice and being patient with new staff.

As for my rating, should have been a 5 but for my bad experience in the sauna room.

Close to all major sites. Walking distance to Bund and malls. Breakfast buffet was super good. No noise whatsoever although right at the intersection of major streets.

I don't really like their location as it was bit far from downtown but it was worth the traffic. (Taxi from Nanchang high-speed train station around 100yuan)

The lobby locates on 39th floor and my room was on 50th. They claim they are the tallest building in Nanchang and I guess they are right. It was comforting to have a view.

I loved their breakfast seletions. The Chinese restaurant on the top floor looked fancy but it was short-staffed so I chose the buffet restaurant on 39th floor and they gave me 50% discount as I was staying at the hotel!

One tiny problem was the light of the bathroom couldn't be turned off even by trying the master switch but I didn't bother call the staff as it was pretty late. And I wish there was a volume control in the bathroom for guests to listen to the TV when showering.

I stayed here on business for one night and was very impressed by everything... very clean and modern rooms. Great value for my money. Great customer service and everyone was ready to assist me at all times. The lobby on the 39 floor is breathtaking.

This hotel is well formed and manage however there are few things I would like to share with others. The lobby is on 39th floor and there is a sign of "Gift Shop" but when I tried to locate the shop. The staff told me there is never a shop there.Strange.
I arrived at around 21:15 on 25th September,2016. For a single night staying. I had my late dinner in "Noodle Bar" and this bar opens till 0000. Anyone needs in house hot food, drinks can have a try. Free strong Wi-Fi service when you log in your own room.

Being a frequent visitor to Nanchang for over 10 years I have suffered through many miserable hotel stays until I discovered the Hualuxe.
Starting from a beautiful modern lobby on the 39th floor to the spacious well appointed rooms the hotel offers a cocoon of comfort in this remote city.
The morning breakfast runs the gamut of healthy through extravagant and is a must.
The 09 line is the best of all the rooms.

Spacious Lobby, Green theme..., Friendly and Courteous Staff at the Reception and Concierge, Rooms with all the amenities and a View !!!

Chinese Restaurant had an Authentic Cuisine and the food was really Nice to say the least !!!
