Gage Suites at UBC

The location was handy to attend a concert at the Thunderbird. Sheets were a bit scratchy.

Was in Vancouver for a concert on the UBC campus, great location, food options after 11 were sparse but if your up to a walk/trip late at night there were more further out. Room was clean, well equipped and quiet. Would probably be amazing for extended stays!

Only complaint is the amount of lights that are on. Exterior hall lights seemed to be always on and the light flooded under the door. Add the microwave and fridge leds made it a bit annoying. This only really applies to people who are light sensitive and find even the smallest light annoying (like me 😁)

Rooms and location are great - shower head would not stay in place and there were strands of hair on the bathroom floor

Was perfect. Front desk very helpful. Not from around here so their help was awesome. The room was superb and comfortable. Price for size, well small. But I was expected.

Staff tried to book me for an extra night for a bogus reason.

The on campus location is convenient. The suites are small but new and comfortable.

Just a perfect space—mini kitchen with dishes and pots and pans and complimentary coffee and tea with a Nespresso machine and a microwave and oven and full fridge. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower and bathroom were clean and included complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and body and hand soap. A perfect space that was perfect for our needs. We stayed for only one night but would have been comfortable to stay for many more. I'm already looking forward to returning. Thank you!

It was tricky to find the suites after check in. Better signage would be beneficial

This is my third time staying at Gage Suites in a year and honestly I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.
You have a full size kitchen and supermarket within walking distance. Beaches are within walking distance. It is safe and clean.

Great stay

Very good accommodation on the outskirts of Vancouver at a better price than city centre, will need to bus it or Uber into Vancouver city though about 25min by car or 45min by bus

Just a great place to stay

We love UBC and our daughter, a UBC alumna, lived in a suite in Gage Hall during the pandemic years and loved it! We were hoping our hotel room would have been as spacious as her suite but instead it was quite tight for two people, with no dining area. Still, we had a good stay and the price was great.

Such a clean facility and room. Friendly staff. Convenient to restaurants and shopping. Only 7 miles to downtown Vancouver. Would definitely stay again.

Highly recommended! Great option when visiting your kids on UBC campus.
