After a very long day travelling from Saskatchewan we pulled in here to get the deal advertised on all the billboards coming into Thunder Bay. As it turns out, there are maybe one or two rooms per night with this low discount rate. So we bit the bullet and paid a little more than we had planned and got our room. It was not properly cleaned so back down to the front desk and now a second room. The front desk people were very helpful and we were satisfied. The best part of this deal was the FULL breakfast included the next morning.
old building. Shower is not very good. Price is a little bit high.
Breakfast was good, beds were comfortable.
Staff was very rude. Walls were paper thin, could hear people screaming in hallway all night. Very old and damaged.
Front desk staff (especially morning staff member), very professional , friendly and helpful.
Two fire alarms, one pm and one am. At least I know they work.
Not much.
Elevator was not working. Room was very old. Doors didn’t close, bed was not comfortable. Restaurant was terrible. Sent the food back and left with nothing.
The building is very historical and in the heart of downtown Thunder Bay. The staff were delightful, the facilities were lovely, and the rooms were clean and spacious. The complimentary breakfast also exceeded my expectations!
I'm not a huge fan of the scent of the cleaning products used in the rooms. It left an interesting odor that was hard to ignore.
Anything I liked was over shadowed by hardships faced as a senior. I couldn't even shower.
The bed was too soft. There were no grab bars by the toilet or in the shower. The toilets were very low, making it difficult for me, as a senior, to get off.
Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful
Our floor in the room wasn’t completely cleaned from the previous guests. There were false nails on the floor by the bed
