Puerta del Sol Hotel

The hotel was easy to find and our room had a great view of the mountains. The hotel is a short distance from the town centre and is in a quiet location. would stay again

Hotel needs to increase their staff. We carried our bags - I checked out early with no assistance

When I arrived they did not have my reservation. I had to show them my printout showing I booked and paid for three nights through Expedia. They gave in and gave me a room with a view of a big ugly pink hotel across the street. I paid a little more for a room with a view and complained and they moved me across the hall. The room was nothing like the photos. I would rate it a 3 star hotel. The breakfast was less than average. Room was clean enough, and there was hot water and it was only a couple of blocks from the stores and restaurants.I changed to a better hotel when we extended our stay, at a cost of 20 more per night.

It was very good. Good service and good value for the money

This is a hotel with a number of good qualities (clean, nice bed coverings, pretty good breakfast), but there was no hot water in the morning and the WiFi did not work at all.

you get what you pay. The breakfast poor, and you has to be there very early, after 9 am there is not replacement. Rooms are clean but a litlle hot. Close to te the center and movement of the city.not to come back again.

The hotel was an easy walk to the shops, the hot springs baths and restaurants. When we wanted to go more of a distance taxis were easy to get & reasonable. We went to "La Bella Italia" Restaurant the first night & returned the second because we enjoyed it so much. Our room at Puerta del Sol was very attractive & we enjoyed our stay.

Close to centre but not too close. Rooms at front of the building have nice view of the waterfall. Staff very friendly. Good TV channels for football. Lots of restaurants close by.

Went to Banos to check out the sights. We stayed a single night and were comfortable with the room.

Excellent except for the poor Internet connection, particularly on the third floor.

It was a little outside the central area, but the walk was refeshing and safe. Hotel was safe and as shown, would definitely reccomend it.

The view from our room was beautiful. The breakfast was very nice and the staff was very helpful especially Lola!

Noce staff. They tried to accomodate my needs. The room was very dsrk, so I asked for another light bulb which I replaced myself.

Staff is great and accommodating. I came with my grandmother (who is 83 years old and can barely walk) and my whole family (group of 8) and I was afraid how they would handle it. Superb! Ernesto is very friendly and educated. Breakfast is delicious and they will try to accommodate you as much as possible. Loved the place, really close to where all the action is, but far enough for you to enjoy a great rest. Recommend it 100%. Do remember that is on a budget, not 5 start amenities, but definitely 5 star on staff and cleanliness of hotel. The only negative is the cable, it's blurry and it will get your eyes. I barely notice since I didn't go to watch TV. If you are one of those, then this is not the place for you. If you just need a clean, safe, friendly place to rest to enjoy an next day of adventure, this is the place to go! Don't overpay!!!

We stayed one night. The hotel is very clean, rooms are interesting in this restored hacienda.
