The staff was great and the rooms clean, bed was good
There are three issues: one elevator is not enough, had to wait a long time for it to come, which I elected the steps instead; the hallway was exceptionally hot and steamy - would suggest hallway windows that open for ventilation; our room air conditioner was freezing and the contols ineffective

I was extremely disappointed with my stay at Tropical Seas Hotel. The room had a strong moisture problem that made it feel damp and uncomfortable. I even found what appeared to be multiple American cockroaches on the balcony, which was very concerning. Housekeeping also failed to properly clean the room, leaving me questioning the overall cleanliness of the property. The shower pressure was so intense that it actually hurt, feeling like needles against my skin, and I had to move to another room because of it. To make matters worse, the hotel advertised free high-speed internet and TVs, but the experience didn’t match what was promised. Overall, the hotel felt poorly maintained and misleadingly advertised. I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone looking for a clean and comfortable place to stay. The manager Kitty did nothing to accommodate us and basically just brushed us off . DO NOT STAY HERE !!!!
Beds very comfortable. Wish there was a night table on other side of bed.shower curtain wouldn't stay inside shower. Missed the pads that were on the poolside chairs last year even though some of them need to be replaced. Beach chairs for rent would be nice since we fly and can't bring ours.
Not related to motel but ice cream gets on your nerves playing Christmas music and nursery rhymes which kids these days have no idea what they are. Smoking at pool.
The location
Our air conditioning had to be replaced at 9:45pm. They didn't have another room available, so everything had condensation on it and felt wet! No compensation money wise, so disappointed about that. Coffee pot broken had to go to front desk to get a new one.
Loved the oceanfront view, it was beautiful. And just steps away from the beach!
I stayed on 4th floor and for marijuana to be illegal ob SC I must say it was a strong odor.
Most hotels have pool towels, this one does not.
The water pressure / hot water sucks.
I had a kitchenette, no pot holders, pizza cutter, salt / pepper, paper towels, these would have been great!
Housekeeping apparently only comes if you have the door opened…I would drop my towels outside the door and not once did a housekeeper knock! I had to repeatedly go downstairs and get towels, wash rags, kitchen rag, dish rag. I left the door propped opened yesterday because I had to go to the car, and I was stopped by a housekeeper asking if I needed towels, because mine were outside the door and the door was propped, and then when I responded yes she said I can only give you 2 bc I’m not your housekeeper, then why knock and why ask!
Also first timer coming to the south, I stepped on balcony and these huge water bugs (is what I was told they were) all over the patio I had then turned on the balcony light all week in hopes they wouldn’t be as bad as night 1.
The broom was cute, it came to my hip bone and I’m 5’ and had a hard time sweeping with it let alone someone who is 6’, maybe Invest in bigger brooms or some type of vacuum since the guest try to get the floors sand free.
I personally don’t think I would ever stay here again.
Price was good, rooms have been updated but hallways needs work, and views was perfect.
The pool was dirty or needs to get redone. The smell in the hallways was overwhelming and was horrible!

I like that it was oceanfront and right there at the beach.
The room was decent and newly renovated. The bed was dusty though because as soon as I got on, my dust allergies went crazy.
The building in general was old. The lobby looks like it needs more work the glass doors leading to the lobby was really old and dirty, and so are the hallways. There's was only one elevator and it was really old and disgusting looking. The elevator floor needs to be changed. When I requested for our beds to be made, the cleaning lady said they only do cleaning services if you've been there for 3+days. That's ridiculous! I placed the "maid service" sign on our door knob and when we got back, our room was untouched and that sign was still hanging on our door.
Never going back.

Wish there was breakfast. After spending so much money on great place to stay, one would like breakfast as well.
Great location for the beach.
Even the it was clean to the naked eye it definitely could have been better. I dropped my charger behind the couch and my husband and I had to tip the reclining love seat and it was absolutely disgusting. Definitely hasn’t been cleaned underneath in a very long time. The refrigerator door kept popping open so the seal was obviously bad. Some of the dishes/silverware were still dirty in the drawer and cabinets. The bed was like sleeping on a board.
