Overall experience satisfactory. Staffs behavior are very cordial . two challenges we experience - Hotel is in water but they charge jetty to Hotel boat cost $7 per way which seems very illogical. Hotel donot have TV in the room.
i must say food are very tasty.
First off: this hotel is in the middle of the lake. You need to coordinate pick up with them. This is not included in the room price.
Second: this place is very beautifully situated, but dated. Don’t expect high end. Pool was nice. It’s close to the sights.
Third: the food here is not good. It is all long-duration bread for breakfast. If you could eat outside the hotel For dinner I would say do that.
I only stayed 1 night, but it was such an amazing experience actually staying on the lake! The service at the resort was fantastic. I’d definitely recommend it.
In 1 woord geweldig, overnachting, eten, vriendelijk en service.
Very friendly staff! Cosy, big cabins with balcony. Nice pool area!
The hotel is in the south of the lake which is good because it’s close to floating market, floating garden, In Dein and much more. The only negative thing are the “road” next to the hotel with all the nosy boats.
I really recommend this hotel!
Excellent location on Lake Inle. The room and food were excellent.
3 nights spent in the hotel. Very good location, close to the main touristic spots. Restaurant is pretty good and staffs very helpful and friendly. Rooms are very large and comfortable, with nice view of the lake. Very good stay globally. Meanwhile, the hotel is aging and requires some more maintenance, I would not recommend with young kids regarding safety issues, and it is globally noisy because of boats passing along all day (we stayed during low season...).
You arrive with the boat at this floating resort and yoi are immediately struck by the beautiful surroundings. Friendly staff, nice pool area and lovely bungalows. But I raised an eyebrow (or two) when I saw that among the amenities in the room are also earplugs. That’s because during the day, the speedboats that transport tourists and locals can be heard all the time. Thankfully, not at night. In my opinion, this is not a hotel for young children, as there is nothing to do there for young guests. The food in the restaurant is average. But the staff is really nice and helpful. You can tell that tourist numbers are way down in Myanmar, not many rooms were occupied at this resort, as one the second day of our stay, there was no longer a breakfast buffet on offer. I hope that things will work out for everyone at Shwe Tha Inn, because the sunset view from the bungalow is truly special.
Memorable
The property is not new but it is lovely, all the staff were happy and considerate- I spent a day on the lake and my face was qhite red, when I returned to my bungalow a kind sole had left sunscreen. This was one of my favourite places in Myanmar and a great place to stay to enjoy it
overall was ok, but the water heater was not working properly and water pressure were weak
Beautiful scenery nearby the hotel; friendly services with cheerful smiling.
Great hotel with comfortable rooms and good service. Food was good and they served delicious cocktails. Had a great bath in the room but not enough hot water to fill the tub. Otherwise a good stay.
Great location on the water except for being on a busy highway (right next to a loud, high-speed thoroughfare for boats, actually quite a soothing sound if you can get used to it)
Service was friendly and reception very helpful (even allowed us to check in at 5.30am)
Amenities such as the pool could've been cleaner (weren't willing to risk the greeny/turquoise colour) and the pool bar was closed.
Breakfast left a little to be desired and only found out that pancakes were available on request after we had checked out!
Overall beautiful scenery and position and service with a smile
We had been longing to visit Inle Lake, located in Shan state, a mountainous area. We started our day from Aung Ban Township towards Inle lake. Left our car at Nyaung Shwe Township and took an one hour boat ride to Shwe Inn Tha Hotel which was beautifully located on Inle lake.
Friendly staffs helped us to alight from our boat and check in was done peacefully since the staff knew our stay from Expedia.
The rooms were individually located on the water. We felt that we were going back to a wood culture environment. Beautiful wood carvings were decorated in the rooms. A small balcony was included to enjoy sunrise/sunset view from each room.
Hotel has great restaurant which serves international and local cuisines. After dinner, we inquired the attraction areas around Inle area from the friendly front desk ladies. She recommended the places and arranged for our visit and return trip to Nyaung Shwe.
In the morning, we enjoyed our breakfast and started touring around Inle area. Just spent a half day inside the Inle lake and we headed back to Nyaung Shwe. It was a great stay in Shwe Inn Tha Hotel.
The hotel is a one hour boat ride from the main town of Inle, so it is very remote, but offers a better experience of the way people live on the lake. Life is hard on the lake and the boats carrying goods to the market start well before sunrise, so be prepared to use the ear plugs (provided by the hotel) if you want to sleep in and also use the mosquito net.
The resort overall was a great experience .
The service was friendly and you always felt welcomed.
Our room was perfectly adiquit, the water pressure and temperate in the bathroom was intermittent which I guess can be expected given the location.
I must say however the food wasn't very good which considering you have no other choice but to dine in house unless you take a boat ride elsewhere was disappointing, even my Burmese friend suggested nothing on the menu was done well.
Look at the end of the day the resort is located in the middle of a lake which is magical, everything else you just need to smile about and deal with it, this experience you can't have unless you visit Myanmar!
