Definitely going back in the future.
Pros:

Location was superb, right at the center of the city. Very close to Tunjungan Plaza Mall, which is the biggest mall in Surabaya. Lots of activities around the hotel. Many restos and cafes in the surrounding area. Many options to go around the city center area, even in walking distance. The hotel architect and signature vintage style is a big win. Food and beverages in the hotel resto is affordable.

Cons:

The window view was blocked by neighboring building, but i guess given the location is inevitable. The AC unit seems a bit out-of-date, but still working properly.

Pros:

The location is really close to the heart of Surabaya, the ambience is really nice. We can see city and kampung vibe at the same time. We can also find souvenir near the hotel.

Hotel is in serious need of a refurbishment - I paid $29 although the normal rate is $60 - probably worth no more than $
Cons:

Old and shabby , shower fitting was broken, room smelt like b.o - the sheets and pillows didn’t feel clean and the aircon was struggling to work

For short and long stat
Pros:

Location. There are lots resto and also mall in walking distance. Wifi is good. You get everything hotel standard in the room

Cons:

Tunjungan street can be very super because everything in walking distance. But also can be very worst if you stay there on Nov 10 or the local government held an event. This street will be close for cars and public transport. The hotel staff is also can’t explain clearly about how to get there to us who are not familiar with Surabaya
