Good value, quality hotel.
Pros:

I was very happy as, upon request I got a quiet room. This means a lot to me as city noises are stressful. The hotel is well cared for and presentation good.

Cons:

Smoking restaurant occasionally enters into foyer area.

Excellent value and amazing location
Pros:

Amazing location, surrounded by cafes and souvenir shops. Close to the Gubeng train station. Walking distance to Tunjungan Plaza. Property itself is nice and clean, offers great breakfast, and staff are very friendly and helpful. You can also buy the legendary Sirup Telasih from the reception.

Cons:

This is very nitpicky, but some additional hangers or maybe wall hangers to hang outerwear would be useful. Also, a hairdryer would be great, although I understand this is often not standard in Indonesian hotels (unless you request upgrades).

Pros:

Location is excellent, right in the middle of the main street. Easy to get around and to reach train station. Room is clean.

Cons:

Water pressure of the shower was a little bit weak.

Definitely going back in the future.
Pros:

Location was superb, right at the center of the city. Very close to Tunjungan Plaza Mall, which is the biggest mall in Surabaya. Lots of activities around the hotel. Many restos and cafes in the surrounding area. Many options to go around the city center area, even in walking distance. The hotel architect and signature vintage style is a big win. Food and beverages in the hotel resto is affordable.

Cons:

The window view was blocked by neighboring building, but i guess given the location is inevitable. The AC unit seems a bit out-of-date, but still working properly.
