When we checked out this place, the reviews looked good, the pictures looked good, sadly it turns out there was no picture of our room and the service we had.
Walked in, and it is a little tiny cramped room, with the double bed pushed right up against the window, so the person sleeping on that side has to somehow maneuver over the end or climb over their partner. Picture indicated bedside table both sides, definitely not. Very deceptive. There were 2 slats missing from the blinds, so at night the lights coming from outside were brighter than the poorly lit room, so you may as well have being sleeping in the middle of the street as far as darkness goes.
When we were taken to the room, the host said that the wifi password should have being there on a piece of paper, but it wasn’t, and when he came back later because he had the wrong credit card number, he still didn’t have our password.
States there is housekeeping, which is just dumping fresh towels outside the room, not what is normally considered housekeeping. There are tea and coffee facilities, but no milk is supplied.
The air conditioner didn’t work. It is an odd shower where the water splatters all over the bathroom. A tiny little bathroom in reality.
Should always end a review with a positive, location was ok for transport.

Spacious modern rooms with a large bed.
The beds were very comfy, it was a great central location for where we needed to be, was great that we got fresh towels and water bottles daily.
The blonde who checked us in and organised us leaving our bags at the hotel for the day was great! Sorry I didn't get her name, but I'd like to really sing her praise.
We were woken up by noisy neighbours in rooms next to us each morning. Perhaps it might be a good idea to space the booked rooms apart a little along the floor to try prevent this?
Also there wasn't a lift, but this information was provided when we were making our decision to stay here, and for us it wasn't too much of an issue!

Shower had black mould buildup which was disappointing as it was generally a well equipped clean room.
The hotel is in a really great spot - surrounded by restaurants, bus stops and train stations. It was really easy to find and the staff were helpful.
Our room was quiet and clean.
It was tricky getting to our room with suitcases as there are no stairs, but it didn’t bother us too much.
Because the hotel is above a pub, it was quite hard to navigate our way through to the bar to check in and out, but it was expected.

Great location
There was building works through the entire first night. We weren’t made aware which was frustrating. No discount or bar credit was offered for the inconvenience. Bathroom was tiny.

Good location
Only stairs so had to lug our cases up the stairs on the top floor.
Really busy day so couldn’t get into our room till late
