I’ve stayed at Marriotts across the globe and I’ve never in my life Had such a bad experience at one. I was on a business trip and needed to change my departure due to a work emergency back home to 10 days instead of 14 days. They tried to charge me more money to leave earlier, claiming that it was a busy time and the hotel was giving me the 475$ price a night only because it was a long stay. Now Irrespective of me having status, and despite my colleague having the same exact price on a “non-long stay” reservation they were still unwilling to work with me. Which means they are claiming I am only getting the price because it’s a long day even though my colleague is staying for half the time and has the same price!!
Never in my life have I had a hotel, tell me they want to charge me more money for staying at the hotel for a few days less over a long stay. Summary is they’re charging me for the full stay even though I had to leave four days earlier. This is an extra $1900$!!!!
On top of all that , the food at the hotel is extraordinarily pricey and sub-par. A Caesar salad with chicken cost $36 sing and breakfast is $42sing for reference. Items in the Mini-bar cost around $12 for a bag of chips and $12 for a coconut water.
As for the rooms... The Hallway carpets leading up to the room are filthy. The couch in the room is dated and beat up. The blinds that close off the bathroom windows are bent and broken. The lighting in the room is terrible and dim. And the toilet has a bidet on it which was completely messed up. It would randomly turn on and start spraying the moment you sat down. Additionally it would make noises all night long no matter what i did to the settings.
I would not recommend staying here to anyone. And will never stay here again. I will also start switching my loyalty over to Hilton hotels. And will tell anyone I know who travels for work in my company or others to never stay here .
Absolute horrible experience for a luxury hotel.
After over 50 stays at the InterContinental, I’ve officially found my new "home" in Singapore. Transitioning to the JW Marriott South Beach was a revelation; the value for money here is vastly superior, and the overall experience is a significant step up.
The true heartbeat of this property is the service. I travel with strict dietary requirements, which can often be a source of stress, but the team here handled them with effortless grace.
The Executive Lounge: A standout feature of the stay. Patrick and Fiona deserve special recognition for their attentive care and for making me feel so welcome.
The Culinary Team: My sincere thanks to Sous-Chef Teo See Sia, who prepared truly delicious, safe meals tailored to my needs. The coordination between the kitchen and the floor staff is seamless.
Dining Variety: Beyond the lounge, the breakfast at Beach Road Kitchen is nothing short of amazing, and even the In-Room Dining exceeded expectations—it was prompt and delicious.
I’m already looking forward to my next stay.
This property is stunning. The team at the executive lounge give great service and provide very tasty food. The exercise area is very well equipped. I also had a massage to help my right shoulder. The therapist did a wonderful job increasing my range of motion and decreasing my pain. The South Beach area of Singapore is vibrant and beautiful.
Very well located hotel with great views amazing rooftop pool though not temperature controlled so water was extremely cold a bit of a bummer
The restaurant for breakfast was very well appointed
Mr EDMUND THE SUPERVISOR WAS VERY ATTENTIVE AND TRIED TO ADDRESS AS BEST AS POSDIBLE Thank you Edmund
on the flip side the The Indian counter had a SELECTION five things VEGETARIAN but THE SAME FIVE EVERYDAY ALL SIX DAYS
chef must do some rotation or change the selection of entrees ..
I’ve traveled the world, but this Marriott Hotel is the best I’ve ever stayed at! The facilities are stunning, and the Club Lounge is amazing for elite members. The infinite pool on the 18th floor has an incredible view of the city. The rooms are also great, and the location is perfect - walking distance to the Merlion and the metro. The breakfast is a great variety, and the staff is truly exceptional. They make you feel like the most important person in the world. I have to mention a few of them, even though I’m so grateful with everyone. Mr. Patrick (PM) is the Room Division Manager, and I want to thank you for going above and beyond with my request. Ms. Nancy Xu (Director of Housekeeping) and Ms. Lim Jun Loong (Front Office) are also amazing. Xavier Kook (Front Desk) and Mr. Joshua B (Assistant VIP Services) are great at the club lounge, just like Ms. Fiona Gan (VIP Services Manager). Mr. Phyllis Ong (VIP Executive) and Ms. Angel (Guest Relations) are also very helpful. Thank you for helping me with attractions and the best way to visit Singapore in a few days. Mr. Sara at the Concierge did an amazing job, and Ms. Shi Min (Front Desk) and Mr. Xavier (Front Desk) are always smiling and helpful. At the 18th floor, the people at the pool, bar, and always smiling and showing care. Ms. Rose is the Cutie Girl, always ready and willing to assist you. Sharwin, Tonic, and Maya are also great at the Gym Hafiz. Ms. Lucia always makes my bed, making me feel like a king. Overall, I’m so grateful to everyone at JW Marriott South Beach Singapore. I’m missing a few names, but the entire family is amazing. Thank you again, and I’ll see you soon!
Personnel très attentif et amical. Emplacements très pratique
Fonctionnalités étranges comme le haut parleur de la TV dans la salle de bains
NYE fireworks
Clean and comfortable
Friendly staff
Spa overpriced and having to pay for entry.
Pool not in sunshine
Fish Buffet not as good as tried at other hotels
Kelvin on the Fitness Desk went above and beyond in providing patient, efficient and respectful assistance to me as I forgot my locker combination!
location and room were really great!
Front desk staff was not very friendly and could greet hotel guests with a little more excitement as they are the first people that guests would see. The staff that came up to deliver our room service food and water were however much more friendly than front desk staff.
Overall a great experience
I cannot rate the hotel experience high enough, my only issue and this is with all hotels. There is not enough information provided about facilities, restaurants etc. I know i can do this via the room TV but a few pages with slightly more information would be nice. There is also very little information (that i could see) that provided info on 'things to do' the fairmont hotel provides this with access to everyone with google maps links for places like china town and little india (i want to know from a local perspective an not go through social media posts) https://www.fairmont-singapore.com/blog/things-to-do-during-your-stay-with-us/
We held our wedding banquet at JW Marriott Singapore South Beach, and it was truly an unforgettable experience from start to finish.
The ballroom itself was absolutely stunning with such an iconic backdrop! It was so beautifully decorated on the actual day!
What really made the experience exceptional was the professionalism of the banquet and events team! Would like to give comments to these people who made all this possible! My wife and I were so busy on that day but luckily we had the team to guide us to keep on schedule! They were also very accommodating to some last minute changes we had.
Wedding Manager: Yan Ning
Banquet Manager: Rahman
Banquet Manager 2: Nutthee
Chef: Raymond
Av: Fauzi
Most importantly, the food was excellent with generous portion and many of the guests complimented and praised the quality and taste!
The package also included 2 nights in a wedding suite and the room was spacious and comfortable with a bathtub! We were able to relax and unwind after a tiring and fun wedding!
We are incredibly grateful to the entire JW Marriott South Beach team for making our wedding banquet so memorable and stress-free. We highly recommend JW Marriot if you are looking for a classy and unforgettable venue! Thank you for helping us to create such a beautiful celebration that we can cherish forever!
We stayed here for 3 nights over NYE and it was a great decision. We wanted to stay at Marina Bay Sands but they had a 5 night stay policy during the holidays, so we decided on the JW. It was so convenient, connected to 3 malls and MTR. We were also able to walk everywhere, if not a Grab was inexpensive to get to most places. I had platinum status and had access to the lounge, it was ok, better than most US lounges but I wouldn't have breakfast there. With status, you get two comp breakfasts at Beach Road. Go there instead of the lounge, the food is amazing, they offered every cuisine that you can think of, so much fruit, fresh juices, dim sums, and noodles. Also, don't go to the pool on the roof by the gym, it gets so busy with little kids, go to the pool by the spa, much quieter and nicer, with lots of lounges/chairs, etc. As for NYE fireworks, we walked 5-10mins to the bridge and had the most incredible view of the fireworks over Marina Bay Sands. Everything is orderly in SG and it wasn't crowded (compared to Chiangmai, Sydney or New York). We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would definitely be back.
Location, Gym and Pool area and the staff
Breakfast area is too crowded
清潔でした。
プールの水温が冷たすぎて入れないし、日光にあたることも出来ない作りでプールに関しては最悪です。
We stayed at JW Marriott Singapore South Beach for our honeymoon, and the experience was truly unforgettable.
Although we only mentioned that it was our honeymoon on the day of arrival, the team went above and beyond to make us feel genuinely celebrated. We were kindly offered early check-in, which was greatly appreciated after our journey.
What impressed us most was the thoughtful and personalized hospitality. We received a beautiful chocolate cake, fresh fruits, cookies, and drinks in our room. When we mentioned that we do not drink much alcohol, they kindly prepared cola instead, which perfectly reflected their attention to detail.
In addition, we were deeply touched to receive warm handwritten messages and celebratory in-room dining meals not once, but twice during our stay. These gestures made our honeymoon feel truly special rather than routine.
We would especially like to thank Ms. Fujimoto from Guest Relations, whose kindness and care clearly shaped this wonderful experience. Her warm welcome and thoughtful arrangements made a lasting impression on us.
JW Marriott Singapore South Beach is not only a beautiful hotel, but also a place where genuine hospitality is felt. We will certainly return and highly recommend it for special occasions such as honeymoons.
Excellent hotel, pool and room quality
However special call out to Mohammad Yakob who provided the best experience and service from the second I arrived
