Not happy
Pros:

The second room, where there was an actual lake view as this was what we paid for . Free drink if you didn't need the room servicing.

Cons:

Paid extra for room with lake view, the first room was very disappointing, with a tiny bit of a lake to be seen. Had a very bad first night where we hardly slept and woke with headaches. This was because of o pump noise all night! We were given a new room with a lake view but had to come back to swap rooms at midday, this took two hours because of key issues and having to go back and forth. The fact that the lift was out of service didn't help.
Not entirely sure about the discount code that was given to some guests for their parking, we were refused but other guests were given it at reception. We did ask but the explanation wasn't clear as the other guests booked the same way as we did!
Also the fridge in the second room wasn't working room 215. Also the blind was broken and a misfit piece of material was covering the space, but there were gaps at each end which we had to cover with pillows for privacy!

Pros:

Beautiful hotel in Bowness. Friendly staff. Views are amazing right across the lake.

Cons:

We stayed in room 214. Beautiful room , lots of space but very creaky floor boards. Once you stepped onto the carpet it was so noisy. Lovely soft carpet but boards need fixing underneath.

Faulty towers but not funny 🤣

The new parking company and computer errors.
The checkin staff were supposed to take pre approval of my card for a deposit but actually took the full amount which meant more emails and telephone calls after the parking fiasco Breakfast was like a glorified Greggs! And they returned some left items to me which weren’t even mine! Too stressful to call a break!!

Amazing
Pros:

The hotel was absolutely stunning, our room was beautiful we had the balcony room, absolutely gorgeous view of the lake, the staff were so lovely and friendly would highly recommend staying here. The breakfast was really lovely. We will be returning.

Very relaxing stay
Pros:

Party of 6 all enjoyed our stay, rooms were spacious and spotless, beds were so comfortable. We didn't eat in the restaurant but had a lovely breakfast in the morning. All the staff were polite, friendly and welcoming. We have all said we would book again

Pros:

Nothing spa was okay but had to pay to get in after giving £500 for 2 nights

Cons:

Was just a glorified BnB very expensive for the service provided staff was very ignorant will not attend again and will not recommend we have stayed in majority hotels in Windermere and surrounding areas and by far the worste.
