Real fast and location very good
It says it has a swimming pool but not does not say you have to pay to use it until you have booked
Breakfast poor, food not hot and dust on top of the glass where the food was.
Very tired door frames and not clean, felt like it was not looked after.
Great location
Had an issue with food service for wedding when complaining told me basically I was lying and I didn’t have to wait 30 mins after every one else had there meal that my meal came out after nearly every one had finished,
Location excellent staff very friendly room was very comfortable and spacious.
Had to pay for parking.
Breakfast time was a bit congested when getting your food and hot drinks as only one door to pass through.
Hotel situated at top of cardiac hill 🤣 wouldn’t recommend for anyone one with any disabilities.
Bedroom was great and bed was sooo comfortable. Bit of a mix up when checking in as they couldn't give us the room we selected and had allocated us a different room that we weren't happy with. However, after a discussion, they gave us a different room that we were delighted with
Bit shabby in places, paintwork etc. Seemed to be very short of staff.
Breakfast was great and the location is ideal.
Hotel was great, only down side is the lift - we had a pram for our little one and it was a nightmare to be honest, it just fit in the lift but couldn’t get our bags in. I had to leave the pram on the 1st floor and take our bags up and come back for the pram. Then the 1st floor lift never worked so I had to carry the pram up!
Location and parking
Dated
It was a good location to Windermere, however it ontop of a big hill
Advertises being dog friendly, charges a lot extra for a pet friendly room, then adds another charge for the pet itself, and all you get is a small treat. Room was an extra £40, then another £25 for the dog himself. For a ripped up dog blanket, dirty carpets, and basic room. Would have expected a lot more for the additional charge.
Staff were excellent, Room was clean and comfortable, evening meal was very good,
Cooked breakfast was cold on cold plate and sausages, bacon and mushrooms under cooked. Parking was extra and subject to availability. You'd expect to have free parking as a resident.
Quite central
Some staff not very friendly
Dining not great
I have been going to this hotel for a couple of years now. It was always good up until now.
We arrived on the Friday and there was no parking spaces. So we asked the staff she said you can go to another hotel which was about a mile away. Why would I even want to think about that. So I hung around and was quite fortunate as someone was leaving and I parked in that space then I had to pay at a parking meter. So I asked the staff if I pay for parking and go out am I guaranteed a space when I come back she said no. So I had to pay £10 per day and would maybe lose my space.
Also it looked like the hot plates were not working as the breakfast was cold we asked one of the staff to check. He came back and said they were on we said ok but the food is cold he just shrugged his shoulders and said I don't know why that is and walked away.
Booked a balcony room so views were amazing.
Room was spacious. Location was good only minutes to Bowness centre and the lake all be it up a steep hill..
Paying for park.
