Great location. Fantastic hotel for a short stay visiting Windermere. Near all attractions and must importantly the lake. Lively staff and nice breakfast. Parking was a bonus

Great location, very spacious and well looked after, extremely friendly staff, would definitely stay again.
Having to pay to park.
We felt the breakfast was quite limited. Everything wasn’t always available and we had to wait for some things to be cooked meaning the rest was cold. Only one choice of yogurt and on two mornings there were no croissants or pastries

Superb views of Windermere
Staff were good except when asking for breakfast to be re-filled.
Car parking was £10.00 a night.
We paid for 2 rooms, one a twin and a double room. The double room we were given was at the furthest distant from reception and bar. Also having to take 2 different lifts The room was really small with a sloping roof that made it even smaller. There was no aircon only a small desktop fan that sounded like it was about to die. The weather was hot and sunny so it made it impossible to sleep on both nights. So the break away to relax after my wife had finished Cancer treatment was a major disappointment.
We asked for a room with a view but got a stone wall.
The breakfast had been stood on the hot plates so long it was like rubber and when things ran out and we informed staff they said nothing and walked away!
The hotel is not 4 star, the location is at the top of a steep hill not suitable for older folk.
Our golfing group of 20 loved their syat here.
Car parking should be free for residents
Loved the position of the hotel ..we had a dog friendly room ..the only criticism was the size of the bed ..but otherwise superb. ..great set up ....we did also have to park off site the 2nd day ....

Being picky, breakfast selection, as in artisan bread , protein yoghurt & wider selection of fresh fruit would have been better
