Cons:

When we arrived at the hotel, the first thing we asked was whether the room had AC, and we were told that it did. We went up to the room but quickly realized the AC wasn't cooling at all. We went out for lunch and left it running, assuming it just needed some time. When we came back, the room was still very hot.
We went to reception and were told to give the AC more time. We explained that we had already done that and asked someone to come and check it. A staff member came to our room, reset the AC, and told us to wait another 10 minutes. He also said that if it still didn't work, we would be moved to another room.
We waited, but nothing changed. We packed all our belongings again and returned to reception. This time we were greeted by another employee, who was sitting in front of a fan herself. At the same time, we could see hotel staff carrying fans to other rooms, so it was obvious we were not the only guests experiencing this issue. We asked her directly if there was a problem with the hotel's AC system. She denied it and claimed that only the reception area had no AC. However, she also admitted that if we moved to another room, the cooling would be exactly the same.
At that point, it was clear there was no real solution. AC was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel, so we asked to cancel our stay and receive a refund. Fortunately, we had booked a free cancellation rate, so we left and found another hotel.
What disappointed us most was not only the lack of AC, but the way the staff handled the situation. Instead of being honest and transparent about the problem, they avoided admitting there was a hotel-wide issue, even though the evidence was obvious. It even felt like they were trying to gaslight us into believing there wasn't a real problem. We found that very disappointing and unprofessional. Honest communication would have been far more appreciated than denying an obvious issue.

It could be much better
Pros:

The location is the best part of this hotel. There are many restaurants and attractions nearby. It is easy to reach by car, and the parking is underground—offering easy access to the hotel and plenty of spacious spots.

Cons:

Our room was very dirty. We complained at the front desk, but there was no improvement. Not having the option to adjust the air conditioning temperature is frustrating, especially on such hot days. We were very hot inside the room.

It's the small details that make a big difference.

My time spent in Dresden and at the Star G Hotel was definitely one of the highlights of my trip.
Pros:

Clean and tidy hotel with attentive staff. I received a free upgrade + lots of advice on how best to maximise my time in wonderful Dresden (what a charming old town). The location of this hotel could not be better. Staff arranged a taxi for me on day of departure.

Cons:

No complaints.

Super Hotel mitten in der Stadt
Pros:

Top Lage mit direkt angrenzendem Parkhaus, dass bei Zimmerbuchung rabattiert wird. Sehr sauber und modern.

Cons:

Die Lautstärke aus dem Innenhof ist leider etwas zu laut, da sich dort viele Aktivitäten abspielen, wie Anlieferung, Entsorgung von Abfall aus der Gastronomie und Parkplätze.
