location was ok, noisy as the window had too stay open due too the heat and no air con. Very small

good location near decent food outlets and the train station

Cons:

The room was very small and shared balconies did not create a secure feeling to the room, as it was very hot and the windows are walk through

Metropol Hotel - one night stopover August 2026
Pros:

I have stayed on that street before and so I know the location is ideal for Gare Du Nord and Gare De L'Est
Room was tight but for a one night overnight stopover I didn't need anything else.
There are venues for eating and drinking nearby.

Cons:

There is a lot if street noise especially being close to such a busy area.
Not convinced there is a lot the hotel could do to prevent this so just worth bearing in mind if you book.

Sehr zentrale Lage

Cons:

Etwas in die Jahr gekommen. Nachts bei offenen Fenster im Sommer ohne Klimaanlage etwas zu laut.
Das wir unsere Zimmerkarte immer abgeben mussten wenn wir das Hotel verlassen fanden wir nicht gut. Die Erklärung war nicht aussagefähig und wurde uns auch nicht sehr freundlich Nachts 23:30 mitgeteilt.

Pros:

J’ai aimé la gentillesse du personnel, le service de consigne des bagages et la proximité des centre d’intérêt de Paris.
Très propre, confortable, le nécessaire bien suffisant. Le déjeuner était simple mais bon et à volonté.

Cons:

Le peu de stationnement dans la rue pour débarquer les bagages. Mais c’est un détail.

Cons:

Ik had bij mijn boeking expliciet een kamer met een tweepersoonsbed (double bed) gereserveerd. Bij aankomst bleek echter dat de kamer was uitgerust met twee aparte eenpersoonsbedden die tegen elkaar waren geschoven. Dit kwam niet overeen met wat ik had geboekt.

Toen ik dit bij de receptie aankaartte, kreeg ik als verklaring dat het kamertype dat ik had gereserveerd niet langer beschikbaar was en dat men mij daarom een alternatief had gegeven. Hoewel ik begrijp dat er zich onverwachte situaties kunnen voordoen, vind ik het bijzonder vreemd dat dit niet vooraf werd gecommuniceerd.

Daarnaast werd mij meegedeeld dat, indien ik meerdere nachten zou blijven, er wél een kamer met een echt tweepersoonsbed beschikbaar zou zijn. Dit maakt de situatie des te opmerkelijker en roept vragen op over de correcte afhandeling van mijn oorspronkelijke reservering.

Al met al ben ik teleurgesteld, aangezien ik niet de kamer heb gekregen die ik had geboekt en waarvoor ik bewust had gekozen.
