Aruga Apartments by Rockwell Makati

The location is fantastic, and the rooms are spacious and spotless. The front-of-house and housekeeping staff deserve 5 stars—they are genuinely kind and professional.

​Unfortunately, the management operates with a surprisingly cheap mindset that ruins the experience.

Despite paying premium rates, I was denied a second coffee at breakfast because of a "one-coffee-per-day allowance"—an embarrassing level of nickel-and-diming for a hotel of this caliber.

​Furthermore, my specific request to have my laundry folded and packaged was ignored; the shirts were simply returned on hangers, budget-motel style.

It’s a shame to see such a great property and hardworking staff held back by a management team more focused on petty cost-cutting than guest satisfaction.

My stay at Aruga by Rockwell Hotel was an excellent experience because of its convenient accessibility to the mall and nearby businesses. The staff were very hospitable and made me feel comfortable even while I was away from home.

Location is amazing, it’s in the middle of everything and very close to BGC and Makati Central District where most of my work appointments are.

Atmosphere is always great, as I always feel so comfortable and at-home. Aircon cools well and the entire place is always clean.

The rooms are all so comfortable. It has a lived-in feel to it without making it feel like so many people has used it. It feels like your own.

It’s a little pricey but it’s worth every cent.

There is also relatively no noise at all that would irritate you or make you uncomfortable.

Service is AMAZING. Bianca, Cairo, Paul, Ms. Cha, Sir Rollie… all of them are so great at making you feel like you’re very well taken care of.

Aruga, true to its name, provided "tender loving care". It was definitely our "home away from home"! We had a wonderful stay with their amazing staff, clean & safe property, strategic & convenient location with daily breakfast (3 resto options) included! Everyone was nice, friendly, professional & accommodating starting with their Sr. Sales Exec, Pam Gallardo who attended to every need & request. Other staff, Renz, Kairo & John were exceptional. Rea, John & Che were likewise helpful. We know that Aruga will be our choice on our future visits. We highly recommend you do the same. Thanks Aruga for taking such good care of us!

All was good — location, rooms, bkfast! Only letdown was their television service. You have to pay for everything unlike other hotels and AirBnBs in other cities and countries.

Nice sized, comfortable rooms. Easy walk to mall.

I have a condo at Proscenium that being rented so I am quite familiar in this area. I liked this location which I feel safe and everything is here that you don't even have to find a place to eat or just scroll around. The staffs of Aruga are friendly and accommodating. I like to give an excellent service that was provided by Clarence on the 3rd floor. I will always be booking this hotel from now on until I eventually could moved to Proscenium when I retire.

Great experience and a lovely dim sum setup at the lobby. I would like to commend the marketing team, especially Marcus and Yssay, for a job well done.
