We stayed at Quai 33
The staff one in the morning and one in evening were charming
Breakfast v.g
The curtains had weird white stains on them but otherwise good. It like a hostel more than a hotel.
Value for 2 persons .
Location next to train station
Bedbugs
Sound of common toilet
Common toilet situated next to our room and we can't sleep .
They don't eve. want my Id card! Big red flag.
Good, clean and recently renovated rooms that were close to the train station. The front desk guy was also great!
More to a fault of my own but on Sundays you cannot check in between 12:00-18:00
The hotel was clean and comfortable with friendly staff.
We were very disappointed that, although booking in March, on the day of arrival we were told we were switched to another partner hotel. We had booked the National because we had stayed there before and had greatly appreciated its traditional, independent atmosphere and decor and it being very different to a lot of modern hotels. We had valued the personal service we received both on arrival and at the bar at breakfast time. We felt the quai hotel we were brought to instead, whilst perfectly ok for a night, completely lacked character and had no atmosphere. We also were not given a plausible explanation as to why we were moved at such a late stage -and whilst everyone was polite and helpful- we felt we our reservation was not valued.
Cozy room with a nostalgic flair. Perfect for a few nights. Staff was very friendly.
Le séjour s'est bien passé, conforme à mes attentes.
Friendly personnel, excellent location, clean room, daily cleaning, comfortable window.
Quite a simple breakfast, and the room is also quite small.
L'accueil est magnifique !
Les chambres confortables et silencieuses
Il manque juste un resto pour manger le soir mais l'hôtel est entouré de restaurants de tous types alors c'est pas vraiment un problème
Great locaiton, friendly stff
We paid 350 Euros, the front desk was offering a nights stay at 72.
Shame on you Booking.com
Great location just near the train station. Easy access to town, trams, trains. Great little family run pizza place around the corner!
The location of the hotel.
The hotel is next to a night club, and on the Saturday night the music was pretty persistent and went on for some time. There was only one towel set, but they happily provided a second set on request. None of the door handles fitted the doors; the wet room arrangement was a little odd, as it is impossible to keep the toilet dry. The shower head didnt stay up; the shelf in the bathroom needs replacing.
Finally, I get the price gouge on the RWC weekend, but it was a pretty big ( x6 of the normal price?)
The owner was lovely and chatty- a nice man.
The security in the room was unacceptable. There was no proper extra lock, and no-one present on reception that could have prevented anyone from getting up to the rooms. I had to move a desk to be in front of the door before I could sleep.
For any solo travellers, feeling safe is paramount.
Location near train station and surrounding restaurants. Rooms were serviced well.
Check in was less than efficient, couldn’t find the booking at first. We were then handed a key with no information. After the second day we’re told we were supposed to check out that day, we weren’t. We weren’t told about wifi or the fact that there was a small side door and code to access the hotel when the front door was locked (which was often and early). Bathroom was the same size as the one on the train we arrived on with a shower cubicle added (room 19). Price gouge because of rugby game. Original price matched the hotel condition.
