walls paper thin - could hear people showering in other rooms
Generally needs a lot of attention
Although marketed as an economy double room, the room was nowhere near what we would have expected for a hotel with an 8.0 rating on Booking.com

On entend le bruit de l'ascenseur dans les chambres. On entend également le bruit de la VMC sur les toits. Le matelas n'était pas très confortable. Le comportement du patron envers son personnel.

Great hotel, superb location.
Pros:

As we were only there for 2 nights we didn't take breakfast but when we arrived we could see a couple having theirs and it looked a good selection. Our room was at the front and so had a view of the church right opposite. Very comfy bed & pillows, great curtains that kept the room dark, great shower in the bathroom. I personally loved the old furniture re-used in the room such as the wardrobe, the bed side tables and coat rack. And a lockable safe in the room!

Great location, opposite one of the 2 churches they say go to, the Grand Place is 5 minutes walkaway, the Lille Flanders station (local station) is 5 mins away and the Eurostar station is 10 mins.

Really friendly staff, 24 hr reception, all speak very good English and provide a place to leave bags if needed. And our room was ready early so could go straight in when we arrived! Definitely use this one again if/when we return.

As we were only there for a short time I can't give any negative feedback.
