A choice you won't regret
Pros:

Big room tho showing a little wear! Only wish I could have enjoyed the balcony with the view of the Beauforts but the weather.....sigh.. Very clean. So nice to have a tub.Great location for either catching local bus into Courtenay or wandering into Comox. Nice staff. I'd definitely return.

Cons:

Can't say disliked but it was a bit noisy. Sound really carried thru walls. Bed a little hard for me but that is a personal thing.

Small smelly room. Terrible bed. Had requested a queen bed but it turned out to be a double instead. Room was not worth the cost. Breakfast was not good.

Pros:

Staff were friendly. Room was clean.

Cons:

Horrible bed. Had spring bulging. Very little light in the room. Room was heavily scented with floral spray. Low quality food at continental breakfast.

Pros:

Major traffic coming & going all hours . Loud noise up & down the stairs & room above me . I’ve stayed here many times over the years , good value for a place to lay my head. This pet friendly room was freezing cold & took forever to warm up. You shouldn’t be accommodating guests next to the rooms who pay monthly. I didn’t sleep well & questioned myself why I didn’t just pay the extra $ to stay at the best western . Lesson learned.

De nieuwe kamers met balkon in het " 100" blok Deze kregen we nadat we om een andere kamer gevraagd hadden. Deze kamers zijn erg mooi!

Cons:

We kregen in 1e instantie een kamer in het "200" blok. Dit was echt afschuweljjk! De kamer was helemaal afgeleverd, meubilair kapot, dunne Lakens, vieze lucht, schimmelige badkamer echt niet oke. Kreeg de indruk dat in dit blok veel mensen permanent wonen

Have been staying here when traveling to or traveling from Comox for 10 years.
Pros:

Very late check in - Actually 01:20 on the next morning. Staff very help ful and accomadating. Brreakfast basic but very good . clean rooms. asked for a late check out - very accomadating. Highly recommend Portagusta . Close to air port & a full service reastrant on premises if staying more than a few days.

Will definitely stay again, and recommend to others!
Pros:

The bed was so comfy! It was such a welcome end to a long day of hiking! Breakfast was just what we needed, protein and fruit.

Cons:

My only comment is the staff are very efficient but not very welcoming. They could work on that, as they are the first impression of the hotel.
